So not tooooooo sure where to put this but....i want to upgrade the BRAKES on my 05 Ram 1500 4x4 SLT....

so far this is the only thing i have found in upgrades after searching all the big boys like Brembos

http://www.ssbrakes.com/products/detail/6148/?make=Dodge&model=Ram+1500+(4WD)&year=2005

so, my question is...

Does anyone know of a good BRAKE upgrade kit for the ram cause my BRAKES are lacking lol

ALSO...if there are any vendors that can help out....that would be awwwwwwwwwwwesome!

:friends::thanks:

Total to my door
$436.43

I will call that a great mod/need for the money!

not surprisingly....thats the same response i got on the other forum i put this on hahaha

thanks buddy!

What forum? and same response as in word for word?

um...dodgeforums...heres the answer...in less detal lol...

hemiyellow - i upgraded to calipers from an 07 and then bought some Baer driller & slotted front and rear rotors along with pads....calipers i got for free, and the rotors & pads cost me like $500 from moe's performance.....seems to work out real nice together, brake pedal has very little travel now compared to before and it seems to stop alot quicker
so not exactly the same response...but generally the same idea haha...

i was really hoping for a brembo (or equivalent) setup...the BRAKES (at least i think) suck on my truck...they are just about ready to be replaced anyways so this is gonna be a necessary evil no matter what...i want good stuff  haha

so...on a scale of 1 - 10....

1 being worse than stock

5 being stock

10 being crack your ribs stopping power

how would you rate the new BRAKE setup?

This is what I did on my 05 Hemi Ram.

SSBC 4 piston caliper brakes for the front it came with rotors as well. Slotted rotors from Moes for the rear and bake and Hawk pads all around. I also did SS brake lines in the front and rear.

I bought new rear (stock) calipers and got the paint code from SSBC to paint match the front calipers and added the slotted rotors on the rear:

Then added 1 piece forged alum. 22" Centerlines with BFG KDW tires

Wade, are those the same ones from the link i posted??????

Yep Force 10 but just for the front, just remember the bleeder valve goes on TOP. I did not like the Hawk pads they had with the package so I swapped them out for other Hawk pads
