I don't not know why people complain about the Street (of Willow Springs) I really enjoy the 2-day event the Shelby Club put on (for $200). My Nitto NT 05's may only last one more time, but, the the track time & dollar value was worth it, $200. = 5 hrs track time in 2 days, LOVE IT...tires wear - don't care, brake wear - don't care.....as they say PRICELESS (Cheap)

I'd still rather have a modded Z06 tho.... you can make over 500whp pretty easily on a LS6. It would be reliable, and a LOT cheaper. Plus, I'd be afraid to scratch a ZR1. :stars:

The difference Steve is this. The ZR1 is a better car than the GTR! But, you could put a 15 year old girl with a learners permit in the GTR, and you in the ZR1, and she'd run circles around you. YOU would have the ZR1 wrapped around a light pole in about 10 minutes. :grin:

 

but the difference is this....

if i drove 10mph...i'd at least finish the race cause the piece of shit Nissan would probably blow up after 4 laps ....

once a brand of car almost kills you roughly 50 times because of their poor build quality...as nissan did to me....i pretty much discount anything they do as trash

and i'd agree that i'd be too anal to take my ZR1 on a track

BUT.... (you knew that was coming :grin The ZR1 is LIGHT, has better traction control, better brakes..... AND the new (T-6060???) trans is a work of fcking ART. :rock: It's a TRUE Top-Gear-Top-Speed 6-speed. The 6th gear is NOT a overdrive gear, it's a true TOP GEAR. :future: ....... All of this equals ENZO performance. It's truely a American engineering MASTERPIECE. The Viper ACR (new one) is nice, don't get me wrong.... but the new ZR1 is better. Just ask Jay Leno. izza:
