    Okay....time for a curveball:
CalTracs may be installed (find out on Monday).

    Here's what they look like:

The CalTracs are pre-owned, so they would be disassembled and sent off for powder coating with the rest of the parts.

If the CalTracs are done in all red, like this:

......could the diff cover be done red?

    ....or....
The front and rear brackets done in red; bar remains black, like this:

NOTE: the rear brake calipers are also red.

    Post up your thoughts!

Here are a couple of quick Photoshops of the rear ends:

I think all one color would look best. Black would look best, if you go with the red, you might want to think about painting as much of the undercarriage as you can. It would have a cleaner look.

Start throwing in red here and there is going to look like you have been piecing it together...

    just my opinion...

    Understood.

I'm considering doing that thickass anti-sway bar....to help "color link" the red of the diff cover and the red of the CalTracs and the red of the calipers.

    Terrible idea?

Not a terrible idea. It would look good, but unbalanced... all the red would be would be in the same area (unless I am picturing it wrong). If you incorporated red to other areas to tie it all together... to give it balance...

The other areas would be the CalTracs and the brake calipers.
The anti-sway bar would be the 'link' between the diff cover and all those other red parts.

    All black :)

    Its much cleaner IMO

But a black/red combo would also work well!

If you add the CalTrac then the Red will not be so bad. Especially against the Black paint. However, as Maureen said, you better clean the rest of the undercarraige up or it is gonna look like poop. JMO.

Okay....I'm thinking about this setup- Black diff. cover and all-red CalTracs:

That would be a little addition of red, and a little addition of black. It also keeps the red over by the wheels (calipers and CalTracs).
The silver from the attachment bolts- along with the drain/fill plugs- should offset the black diff. cover nicely.

Another option would be to do the diff. cover in black, the sway bar and 5th shock mount in red, then 2-tone the CalTracs (red brackets/black bar).
    Thoughts on that?

My apologies for the dirty undercarriage. The photo I used is from a while ago and Magnaflow's pseudo-stainless steel exhaust doesn't really help. It's much cleaner under there now.

My choice would be all black.... But, you probably already knew that. ;)

Although, that silver metallic would be sweet on the diff cover. It would look stock from far way, but have a nice "pop" up close.

Now that I have all these Photoshops done, I may need to start a different thread and poll.

Here's the diff. cover in black, and the sway bar in red:

Once I confirm on the CalTracs, I'll do an 'options' poll.
