the only thing i can think of to improve the index would be putting the lounge on the front in addition to the news and such

Haha, I was using that... right up until about 3 days ago. (that was your best work ever )
I'll live. This color scheme comes in a close second. Maybe even better except for the darker grey in the text areas. Even that's growing on me.

So I'm looking at the reply box as I'm typing this. Could we swap the dark grey where I'm typing with the light grey in the border (maybe just a bit lighter yet) and make the text black?
