Rick G, I have read a little bit of the thread on the Cherokee forum and I am going against my better judgment and ideals on this one. Ok, first Rick, I understand and share your frustrations with how some forum goers have treated you, Matt has listened to his friends about ME and this forums partners and made his comments about us. And not in a good manner. Oh well, Matt is entitled to his opinion. But, for YOU to suggest that Matt (or anyone else for that matter) puts a gun in his mouth and pulls the trigger, that is plain WRONG! IMO Especially to an American HERO! Yes, IMO Matt and anyone else who has or is serving in the Military is a HERO. Yes, I am a military veteran as well (Jan 87 - Dec 96) and I will ALWAYS stand up for our Military (unless they have committed a crime) personnel. After reading about Matt's Bronze Star, well that Staff SGT has gained even MORE respect from me. For Matt to be awarded a Bronze Star, Matt has put his life on the above and beyond the call of duty and THAT tells me A LOT about Matt's professional character. lol And the Commendation Medal is grand as well. Especially with the "V" cluster. I have no beef with you Rick as you have done me no harm, but after reading the comment you made to Matt, it is in my opinion that you need to make a formal apology about your comment. I can express how sad and disgusted I am at this moment to read that someone has told another to take their own life because of a STUPID argument or disagreement! Let this be a WARNING, this forum WILL NOT TOLERATE that kind of behavior here. If anyone of our staff see's such a comment, rest assured, a permanent banning will be issued! It was VERY STUPID and UNCALLED FOR and I will be making a formal apology to Matt and that forum when I am unbanned. I got way to carried away with that post and should have never submitted it. I would never wish harm on Matt or anyone in our Military and that post was written with the intention of pissing off Matt but I foolishly took it to far. I apoligize to this forum in advance should any problems arise from this. Matt........if you read this I am VERY SORRY and understand if you hold ill feelings toward me. Rick G
Now that is a show of character as well. It takes a lot to suck up some pride and admit to a wrong doing. God knows we are NOT perfect and sometime overreact and let our emotions take the better of us. I am sure that Matt will at the very least except your apology. I know I would. We all forget that this is JUST the Internet. Some people take things too far. Then, instead of backing off, go a little further, and again, and again. Instead of just admitting to being wrong and apologizing. Oh well. Thanks for the post.
