I only ever saw another SRT-6 once in Ft Myers...he did a ricer fly-by on me! Very disappointing. The only SRT's that wave at me are SRT-10 Rams. It's funny we both get all excited and wave and point :happy: The SRT-4s don't ever do anything (unless I know them), but I guess that's 'cause they don't know what I drive... Oddly enough, Mustang owners hit on me a lot in traffic and tell me I have a nice car. I don't like mustangs, that is why it's odd :search: And it's usually the V6 'stangs, I tell them I have a better V6 than them :thumb2: Yesterday afternoon in downtown Naples I had a guy in a 'vert saturn sky try to race me...I laughed as I toasted him. Then at the next light he starts yelling that his foot slipped off the clutch, I said, "Uh huh, and I bet you missed second...and the sun was in your eyes--never mind that we're going north..." he got pissy and turned off, tires squealing and all... /V8 thread hijack
no hijacking at all, this forums is for all of us. sucks about that dude doin the "ricer fly-by" but its true, alot of people buy these cars just cuz they want the most expensive model and they get on it once or twice and think to themselves "hey this is pretty quick" and thats the end of their so-called srt experience. the trucks i can see a different story. if you buy a truck that has viper badges on it, you have to know what your getting yourself into.
i know i run into srt8's all the time and rarely get any respnse from them...... although they probably think the same about me, but my issue is the tint in the windows is so dark they probably could not see me regardless!!!! hahahaha
i had a black/black intrepid with 5% tint and my girlfriend used to make faces at people when we were stopped alongside them and they would never know what was going on. on the outside its a black car just sitting there, on the inside you could be having a frickin costume party and nobody would know. which every now and then pays off except when you have to roll down your window so you dont hit the median when turning onto a highway =(

I find the same thing with other SRT8 owners, but my buddy has a Charger SRT8 and it seems all Charger SRT8's give each other a honk or wave around here....it may be because its easier to tell its an SRT8 with the Charger then it is with the 300. :bang:

thanks donald, ditto!!!!! i was even thinking about taking the stock grille and painting it b.b. im not going to be doing the rotors for quite a while, money is VERY tight right now, once i get deployed in january im going back to spending out the ass again which will include rotors, a stroker, a blower and various other performance parts. then i will need severe help from you!
I have never run into another SRT while driving my Bee, well except for an SRT4 or two. Never an SRT8 or SRT10. But I will say, the few RT's I've come across will crane their necks checking out the Bee and we'll usually wave. I had one park one space away from me at the Millbury Plaza (Inferno Red RT) and I had parked away from everyone else so I know they did it on purpose and I also had one guy in a white RT wanting to hear my exhaust so we were cranking it up on the highway together, that was cool. I get the sense that most who buy the Hemi did it for a reason. Most of the V6'rs out there don't even look. I doubt they even realize the Bee is a Charger. I wish more of those driving the V6's actually cared about what they were driving. When I see a Charger or 300 for that matter coming up I'm ALWAYS looking to check out the car...most of the time they don't bother. -J
Today a maggie SRT gave me the flash and wave and i waved back...That was the first time both me and the other guy were able to identify each other and wave in time for us both to see haha
I LMAO, I saw a red Charger SRT go by and the pair of us almost twisted our heads off checking each other out. Didn't have a chance to wave!
I would just like to see another one on the road. I have had my car for a few months now. I have not seen another SRT8 while out driving. I know there have to be some around here ( central NJ ) I see a bunch of R/T's.
i NEVER see any...in the past week i have seen 4...they come in bunchs haha... i saw 2 JCSRT's a 300 SRT and today a Maggie SRT
ran across a maggie last night that stopped at the light and got a grin and nod....... my issue is my windows are too dark and most people can't see me anyway!!! they probably think i am the one who is being rude!!! hahahahaha ron, leave that last comment alone!!!
