Seriously .. what the fuck Obama?? The last couple nights I have been watching the News .. getting more and more pissed off about this oil disaster in the Gulf. CNN is plastering pictures of oil covered pelicans or dead fish all over the news and Obama has the balls to spend time out of his day to say "It would be WONDERFUL if Lebron James stays in Cleveland" ... see link
    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5249055

It would be WONDERFUL if you can figure out a way to FIX THE IMPORTANT ISSUES AT HAND ..

Anyway, why doesnt Obama get off his fuckin ass and go to the Gulf and supervise/regulate the BP officials WHO ARENT DOING SHIT!

Fuck you Obama .. oh yeah and McCann was on the news tonight saying Obama is doing it all wrong and he would do things differently .. NO SHIT FUCKSTICK!! We are all saying that!!!! Easy to say when your not the one calling the shots!

Oh yeah I forgot, your an old school republican with the same ties to oil companies that Bush had ... fuck you too McCann.

I don't know of 1 politician who knows what the fuck he is doing ... all I know if this oil spill is continuing to get worse. Lets charge BP another 70 million for clean up too .. heres a newsflash losers, its an oil company, they have BILLIONS. Hammer the piss out of their checkbooks .. it doesnt matter, me, you and everyone else are going to be the ones paying for it at the pumps for years to come!!!!

Seriously ... What the fuck man ...

we got the president we elected. never waste a crisis, just kill the industry and screw it up more rather than enforce existing rules and safety measures.

Proving that dem or repub, right or left, our bureacracy, by sheer size and delay, just doesn't work for crisis response. no pun intended, like turning a supertanker. eventually it gets there, but it takes a round arc and really long time.

the state and local guys have been begging, spitting and cursing to mobilize absorpsion and prevention/diversion solutions, but a month of red tape is considered quick movement in this behemoth. still wondering why the coast guard's burn plan wasn't implemented and why the USACE's crisis plan was demonstrably different, noting that neither plan was put into play. paralysis by analysis......If this is the best the 4th largest co. in the world and our "most intelligent President ever" can put together, can't wait until a dirty bomb hits. we'll all just get put in a pen for a while in the name of national security while they figure out who not to bomb in the name of appeasement.

Eh, remember all politicians win due to popularity, which doesn't always equate to competence/leadership skills and the like. Generally it boils down to whether the people who do vote like you and just how much those voters based their vote on logic and reason or on who ever gives them a "thrill up their leg".

I just can't believe how much the dems have screwed up their own agenda in such a short time. They had everything handed to them a couple of years ago and now its about who can self-destruct faster.

And no I didn't vote for Obama and I do mutter when I get passed by an aggressive Prius driver with a big ass Obama/Biden sticker on his/her rear bumper.

Back to the oil spill, nobody knows what the hell to do, this sort of thing is unprecedented and its under the media microscope, so its going to be seem like forever and be utterly frustrating. What Obama needs to do is act like a leader instead of campaigning and get competent people on top of this, instead of a group of cronies who keep making him look bad.

Good leaders surround themselves with the best and brightest and know how to utilize those people.

the amazing thing is the gaggle of goofs who did vote for him who consider themselves "independent" who are now "surprised" and "shocked" and are quoted as saying, "well I feel l like we've been tricked". The guy is a left kook who hates his country. Like a euro leftist who wants to see America taken down a peg. My favorite are the jewish folks who voted for this guy, who were promised that Obumbler would not turn his back on Israel. Ha, the muslim is seizing the flotilla fandango as a time to blast them. Sorry for rant.

As for the oil, regardless of how much Keith Olberschmuck and Richard Maddow blame Bush for this oil leak, this is BP's fault and Obama's problem. The 1990 Act mandates that the President clean it up with words like "shall" etc. If this is the best he can do to clean it up in discharge of his presidential obligations, then he sucks. shutting the thing in a mile down is a challenge, I don't expect Obama to swim down with an eco-cork and shut it in, but the dude's been seen to be fiddling while Rome burns on this, Homeland security making it to the opera with an occasional visit, while the coast prepares to get coated. Richard Maddow and Keith mustach mullet Olberschmuck are still blaming Bush. Even Carville is lambasting the pres. What's fun to watch down here is all the eco-moonbeams who on the one hand, want to worship at the IQ alter for Obumbler, and on the other, who see our governor and local politicians truly leading while their diety fumbles at the attempt to, for once, appear presidential. Even David Brinkley is struggling with his diety and his lack of focus and leadership on it. Lebron James commetary and long Memorial Day stretch. Is he serious? Shutting down drilling just kills the industry and makes more families have no bread coming in and further stunts the region, rather than enforcing the safety, getting porn and meth out of MMS and making it work for our country.

good point. the cadverous larry king is going to interview him or did interview him. hot topic since he didn't win.

BP leasing up local boat launches and slips for 3 to 10 year period, think maybe there'll be a little clean up activity. was going to get a fishing camp on the water last year. those folks are hurting. no one interested in buying anything down there besides boom, petrol and cycle oil. hell, why don't we stop drilling everywhere in the world.

My heart bleeds for mother earth. Obama is as worthless as the jackass Bush before him. And if you think Bush would have done differently just put your head back in the sand and shut the fuck up.

What would you like Mr. Obama to do...you realize that there's only so much that can be done in a given amount of time.

I mean, I guess he could fly Air Force One down to the Gulf Coast and start picking the tar balls up himself :shok:

We could only be so lucky. In a Clinton presidency, Ron Brown may have been scuttled into the gulf depths instead of flown into Croatian mountains, but I digress...

I'll go a step further, I know he can't swim down there and plug it, but.....

they could have enacted the USCG's full burn strategy earlier, or at least, at all.

They could have circled some of the tankers as was done in the Persian Gulf to surface remove the oil rather than spray it and hope no one sees it as it floats all over the place now, but Thad Allen, who "blinkily" serves at the pleasure of the president, said that wouldn't work,

They could have gotten out of the way of our local dreging crews to throw up some berms in front of some major marsh inlets with out a 30+ day environmental study delay,

he could tell his stupid DHS secretary to get off her ass and not go to the fucking opera while the oil washes up,

he could do better than try for his third fucking visit to actually express some anger so as to perhaps focus some attention and most importantly set a tone of urgency, he looks fucking cadaverous at best. He's failing as a leader, He has a legal obligation to clean up this mess under the 1990 Pollution act, Thing is filled with "President shall" type language, and I hear story after story from guys who are 35 miles south of here telling me that they bussed in 400 workers for BP for his vist and then leave afte the prez leaves. Its bullshit. I know he can't plug it himself, but he could lead with some intelligence and urgency and decisiveness and get something done to better clean. there are numerous technologies out there that are getting the red tape two step, and the coast line is dying because of the delay.

My law firm represents probably one of the most famous clean up technologies discussed to date, and i can tell you it has taken them far too long for what needs to happen to happen. Could have been testing to use in week one. He spent longer on the golf course and listening to douchebag Paul McCartney than he has down here. Regardless of the face dances and the three visits (glad you finally told Larry King that your "furious"), its been a fail. As for choking down any new drilling in excess of 500 feet (never waste a crisis), great, you just killed another 10-20k jobs in the area that just lost the vast marjority of its seafood industry. Oh yeah, that's great.

    http://www.wwl.com/VIDEO--Costner-frustrated-over-time-to-get-Guard-s/7429112

A blanket moratorium on deepwater drilling will have the indirect effect of beaching thousands of workers at an estimated 1,400 individuals per rig times 33 rigs. The Louisiana Department of Economic Development estimates that the active drilling suspension alone will result in a loss of 3,000 to 6,000 Louisiana jobs in the next two to three weeks and potentially more than 10,000 Louisiana jobs within a few months. Yahoo! That's my leader! If the suspension of active drilling activity continues for an extended period, LA risks losing more than 20,000 existing and potential new Louisiana jobs in the next 12 to 18 months.
and the E&P assets leave and go to South America and West Africa. So we kill more jobs and make ourselves dependent on foriegn oil even more. Yep, most intelligent President ever. The outright ban punishes every other company, those who actually have working BOPs (that's blow out preventers) and working hydraulics in the control towers and dead man shut downs that actually function, and will only exacerbate the current economic situation in Southern Louisiana. Thanks there Barry. I know you didn't carry the state, do you have to kick it while its down? Is that the Chicago way?

No, I don't think he can go down there and plug it or pick up the tar balls, but are you that thick to ignore or otherwise be unaware of all the above, with your smart ass captain obvious retort? What YOU need to realize is that this is destroying an ecosystem and the clean up and prevention response has been a fail. Maybe Sean Penn can come up here and help his country swab up some of the stuff that fuels his King Air.

Only when it slinks up to Cape Hatteras, or even just as far as Key West will the urgency go up. FL is a real electorate state and the east coast farther north has media value.

Sold the Boston Whaler yesterday, because my two favorite and accessible redfish holes are coated now. Fun stuff, I'll just explain to my five year old boy that we can't go fishing there but that Obama's government is doing everything it can to clean up.

    http://politipage.com/2010/05/28/obamas-days/

Yeah, he's been fighting since day one.

Amazing hands off for a guy who's been trying to ram government down our throats. If it was Bush, the entire media would be up his ass demanding real response. Maybe Kanye West can get on TV and yell Obama hates white people..... This is Obama's problem like it or not, and its on him like oil on a pelican.

June 6 (Bloomberg) -- BP Plc Chief Executive Officer Tony Hayward hasn’t spoken directly to President Barack Obama since the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on April 20.

“There is no need for that,” Hayward told the British Broadcasting Corp. in a live interview in London today. “I have spoken to his key lieutenants.”

This douchebag will meet with Iran's thug in chief "face to face", Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine and have a beer with the professor and the Boston cop, but Tony Hayward, nah, don't need to even talk to him.... you can read it all on bloomberg if you want....Talking about Bush as a scapegoat, you think Bush or at least Cheney wouldn't have had the limey fuck somewhere in a quiet room and set him straight by now? Barack's had more golf holes and Ford Theater command performances since this happened in April than most presidents have in an entire term. I guess I should just realize that only so much can happen in a given period of time....Its Carter sans the peanuts, with the father as the drunk, not the brother. He's a failure at anything that isn't on his trainload of teleprompters with echo reverb. What a hack. Carville said it - in a time where his points should be up because he's acting presidential, he's been a failure. How the fuck has George Lopez and Kelly Clarkson and Paul McCartney and every damn sports team of currency had time with this guy and the CEO of BP hasn't even spoken with him? You defend that with a straight face? Really??? His attempts to "kick ass" are so stale and stilted, its embarassing. What a phony. He sounds like Dave Chappelle imitating a white guy being mad. "...so I know who's ass to kick...." If there's any solice in this, maybe LA will get some coastline rebuilding and Barry Sotero will be a one term nightmare who rivals Carter and LBJ for worst one term wonder.

Even super lib Rolling Stone is stoning their once water walking prophet, thought it has the super lib tinge of Blame Bush two years into Obumbler's own presidency.

People talk about how much the oil companies make??? LOL

Our Government makes more from the oil companies then the oil companies make themselves......

First we have state tax, then we have federal tax and we have subsidized tax. Those three taxes amount to almost half of what a gallon of gas costs. Hey BP screwed up big and they should pay what ever it takes to get this fixed.

Our President should have initiated every aspect of managing this mess.......
