What is the going cost for a 2005 SRT-10 Ram Std Cab, short box. I'm in market to buy. I have seen prices from 15,000 to 40,000 Thanks Adam
Fair prices range from about $20K for a clean high mileage (>50K) to about $27K for an extra clean low milage ( <20 )............anything lower than $20K is probably rough.....anything above $30K is way over priced...
Add about $5K to the prices I quoted above....remember the Night Runner was a limited edition for year 2006 only....the last SRT10 to come off the assembly line was a QC Night Runner...
Larry is correct. I will sell mine for $40K, only because everything has a price. So the first $40k offer gets it...you can probably tell that I do not have any desire to sell it.
At $40K your truck would be a steal for someone wanting to mod heavily....Your motor build spared no expense for strength...dont you have over $6K in just the clutch?...that motor is probably better built than a NHRA funny car..LOL..:worthy:
When you are as old as I am, you need to build for safety! I do not have the Tilton clutch in, but when my current CenterForce goes...and they do at about 10k intervals...I plan on putting the Tilton in...and yes, this truck has the best of the best in every mod. Its nice to have a sponsor...that is a well employed spouse! $40k would leave $20k or so on the table...but you never get the money out of mods that you put in. But I love my truck!
I thought you already had the Tilton..LOL....yeah, the Centerforce is toast by around 10K miles...mine is going to the shop today to replace the Centerforce with the Spec...
Yea me! Proud owner of a 2004 SRT10 Viper Truck, Flaming Red. replacing the front rotor, but that all for now. Will be changing out the gears to 4.56 or 4.88 if the price is right. Most likely will be replacing the clutch, has 31,000 miles and the interior looks like new, paints not bad, couple of rock chips here and there. Over all very happy with the price I paid, 2 thou under blue book. Now my 1995 Ram and my Charger have a big brother. [/IMG]
Well welcome to the Viper Truck World. If your oem clutch has 31k on it, it has been treated gently! Plan your work...if you intend to go to Forced Injection at any point in the future the 4.10 gearing might be appropriate, but if your are going to stay normally aspirated your move to 4.56 or 88's would be a kick in the ass! Who owned your truck before you? Larry and I probably know them. Here is a red one that just went on the market yesterday: If we can help with anything don't hesitate to ask!
Congrats on the purchase!!...Like Prof said plan ahead for modding...if you are going major start with the bottom of the engine and work your way up...saves $$$$$ in the long haul...........If you want a qtr mile truck get the 4.56 as the 4.88 will hurt you due to having to shift to 5th (OD)....if the track aint your thing the 4.88 is good for around town but I would probably still stick with the 4.56..
I bought from Bruce in Poulsbo Wa. and according to the registery it at one time was located in Spokane Wa. I was hoping to use it to tow my Charger to the track, but if that not wise I will just drive it and enjoy it. Maybe once in a while local 1/8 and maybe 1/4. I have the Charger to race and the boss said no funds for mod until I sell one of my other toys. Thanks in advance Adam
Adam all you have to do is withhold sex for a week or two and your "boss" will relent and let you do what ever you want to the truck without selling any of the others... And if you believe that I have a Hennessey Truck with an STS turbo on it that I will sell to you cheap!
Dodge doesnt recommend towing with the RC but many are doing it w/o any issues......just take it easy on the clutch when towing and you should be OK.... ...sex?....I think I did some of that back in the 80s....seem that it involved my right hand....or was it a woman?...:erm:
