So what seemed to fix it was reinstall the tune and make sure to enable ESP?

Well, maybe not. Maybe the tuner forgot to enable ESP at the end there. Just make sure you remember to do that each time you re-install... I guess you'll know it if you don't

I'm not positive but I think you should be able to save the tune with just that change to it. You'd select that custom tune, go into modify parameters, enable the ESP, write the tune to the car, go to your pc and in the DSDownloader you would Get Last Tune Written and save it (with a different name, change the comments and label, then send it back to the Predator. Then in Custom Tunes you should have that one (the original CMR tune with the ESP enabled).

Anyway, great to hear that it appears to be sorted out.

I think he just had a brief LIMP MODE issue like most of us with the Jeep have had. I experienced it once after using the remote starter and turning it off real quick the Jeep would not shift out of first or go past 2500RPMS pulled over, stopped and restarted it and it was all good. I think if his tuner would have turned off the ESP he would have experienced it from day 1 and when I walked him thru the Diablo I was doing it on mine as well and we had the same screen choices so I dont think the ESP was off.

Ahh, you're probably right. Now that you mention it, it doesn't seem that uncommon for the Jeep crowd to spontaneously go limp on random occassions:harhar:

pull fuse, startup/restart, flashes, etc. Sounds like maybe there's some sort of software race condition bug at initialization time. Like it doesn't get a response from some module in time, or loses one, of if events happen slightly out of sequence, or something like that and only happens on rare occassions under a certain set of conditions.

Haha thats so funny. Everytime I put in a tune I always worry about someone walking up and opening my door wondering why I am just sitting there. Now I put the window down so I can talk to them.:towel:
