ok so i installed my kenwood double din and everything works except for the sound. what wire do i need to tap into on the car side of the wiring harness to turn the amp on?
my aftermarket deck is working with fine but it does not have sound. i need to figure out what wire on the stock side on the wiring harness turns on the factory amp. that way i can hook it up to the remote turn on wire coming from my deck. does anyone have a wiring diagram for the factory harness going from the stock radio?
First, how did you tap into the factory amp for it to get the new audio signal??? Second, The accessroy turn-on and amp turn-on are controlled by the CLASS 2 serial network. You may need to buy one of these: http://pac-audio.com/productDetails.aspx?ProductId=407&CategoryID=26 Install manual: http://www.pac-audio.com/PACProductData/C2R-CHY4/1_Instructions/c2r-chy4_instructions_060809.pdf
this is what i am using http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12927_Axxess+XSVI-6502.html i used it in my 05 dodge magnum and i was told it would work in my 300. so i put it in and the deck turns on fine. i just have no sound. so the factory amp is not turning on. i just need to hook the remote wire from the deck up to what wire on the car side of the factory harness? or is there something else i am doing wrong?
That will not work for you... Axxess XSVI-6502 Non-Amplified, Non-OnStar Harness to Retain Accessory Power for Select 2004-2007 Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep Vehicles You will need a new plug harness... sorry

I still have no idea what you guys are talking about... but I can look at pics!! Hope you're straight now though, and post some when you get it all fixed.
i will post pics once all the stereo is all in along with the grille, lambos, rims, ect. thanks again.
He is replacing the factory radio with a aftermarket radio and needs to turn on the factory amp. The factory amp is not like an aftermarket amp, it does not have a turn on lead. It powers up through the CAN BUS system...
