With freezing temps arriving nightly here in Ottawa, I've just ordered a new set of 17" Michelin X-Ice tires for the Magnum. Tire guy says they'll likely last only a season due to the nature of the higher horsepower and rear-drive.

So, how many of our Canadian or upper state members plan to drive thier SRT's in the winter?

Miss my Ram every once and a while...a new one at 50% off list (no shit) looks pretty good!

I am, the stock GY's work fine on the Jeep. I'm contemplating the switch to BS Dueler HP's in 315/275, but they have less tread.

I'll be driving the wife's Infinity G35x for the winter, she retired last month and won't be needing it much, so I don't have to go out and buy a winter vehicle. That car is great in the snow and ice and doesn't have the ground clearance issues that the SRT has. I used my Magnum R/T for four winters with Toyo 18" winter tires and had no problems but the winters up here really take there toll on the car, so now that I have the MSRT I'll just be driving it in the summer and use the winter months for mods.:bigwink:

215-65-17's (factory size for all V-6 LX's) should fit your R/T fine. Lots of new takes offs available on eBay as many people (especially in the south) seem to take em off right away and put dubs on...

On the other hand, 1.25" front hub adaptors are required for the Brembo's on the SRT models and work fine (the rear Brembo's don't require anything special regarding clearances).

The factory 65 series 17's aren't far off the factory 45 series 20" dia. that our rides come with.

I have pictures of my mod done last fall (referred to as the SXT mod after a friend sent me my 3.5 L HO emblems for the front fenders).

PS! Welcome from Ottawa, yo - Let us know your first name - You'll find the "C" a great source of info. (and for many, very entertaining!)
