Tooloe (SRT10 Owner) has been waiting over a month for the Mopar Perf Cam to come in and has decided he is tired of waiting plus the fact that it only list about an extra 8-10 HP does not seem that appealing but from he is hearing if he goes with anything else he will have to upgrade rods/pistons/springs/pushrods etc.... What else do you guys suggest for a Cam that would work well with minimal or if no tuning and easy degreeing in the cam Remember he is the one that sucked in a throttle body screw that destroyed his engine so he has all new parts

thanks for posting this wade.... like he said i'm just tired of waiting...all i'm waiting on is the cam....has anyone on here ran the comp 270? and does it need to be degreed?.. installing it should be no problem since the motor is still in pieces....i'm just going to go ahead and drop a cam in it since the motors out....
Technically, it should not need to be degreed. However, nothing is perfect and degreeing can not hurt, only help. Probably worth the effort, especially with the engine pulled, easier task. As per our post on the other forum, Eric and I have a version of it with no issues.
i am having a mopar performance cam installed this week. its in the shop now should get it back by the end of the week. the mopar cam is matched with the headers and mopar pcm. there are 2 dealers that have this cam....now it maybe special ordered for a customer of theres. mopar is very light on there hp/tq ratings and always has. i bet that 8-10 hp is at the rear wheel. see my sig......i will soon get to a dyno after the cam is installed.
hmmmm....well i think i'm going to wait an see your dyno runs.. cause if it's only 8-10 hp its not worth the money to me
If I may make a suggestion... if you are sick of waiting, why not just get a custom grind done to the specs of the Mopar cam? Geeze... I know them off the top of my head! If you want, just go a little bit more aggressive on it. 8-10 HP is not the case. Maybe on a BONE STOCK engine with paper filters and no exhaust work. The more mods you have, the more you will gain from (those mods) with it. 220 Int/ 230.5 Ex, .320/.320 Lobe Lift, 114 LSA, 117 degrees ICL Regarding the CC/Mopar Cam, they really should be degreed. Every single one of them I have installed was off by a minimum of 3 degrees, and the worst was off by almost 8 degrees. No matter how you look at it, its a step worth doing. Not to mention, getting rid of the OEM POS timing chain and gear is an added bonus. The stock timing set is so sloppy its laughable.
