I'm still using the one I bought at Wal-Mart-LOL it was only 80.00 it was made by BELL which most of theirs are SA2005 compliant run by there you might be surprised. BELL makes a new one called Pryotect but its pricey but a good bang for the buck helmet that meets and exceeds all requirements For online this is a good place to shop http://www.soloracer.com/helmets.html I like this one because I always wanted to be the white Power Ranger-HEHE http://www.soloracer.com/zamprz2.html
I just go to a Bike shop where else... or buy online. personnaly i go to a bike shop because all helmets fit differently. i have 2 helmets a black one that fits me as a medium and a blue one that fits me as a large. I wanna go and get another one i saw on monday its a nice blue/white/black Shoei
Nevin is right the BELL I bought is a large and by no means do I have a large head (well the one up top anyway) and its very snug so being able to try one on in person is the key as there is nothing worse than having a snug helmet on during the summer
yeah go to a bike shop and try on a brand and find a size you like and if you want go on like and find the same brand and get the same size in a different style. my wifes helmet is a pink shoei M which i fit too. black on is a Shoei M blue is AFX L another thing about the bike shop is because everyones head is different. they can measure your head and fit it into one that just right for you. you want it to be comfy and not too much pressure to a certain part of your head, being the forehead and cheaks. who knows you make like a Shoei but may have to end up with an Aria helmet.
Got my Bell helmet thru alltimeracing.com, but then I take part in their track days and they're out here in Cali.
We carry a variety of helmets, but unless you know the size/style you want for sure i would suggest trying some on in person first.
We carry Bell, GForce, Impact, Simpson etc, we dont have them all in our online store but you can give us a call 877-BMC-RWHP
damn, you guys are getting SA2005's for that cheap? I've seen M2005's go for that but I can't seem to find an SA2005 for under 150 anywhere and those are open faced too.
