JMatt, Yeah records got broke. I ran the the first 5.7 based 11 sec N/A run that I know of. I did it at 1:30 pm. ALL MOTOR. IM not gonna say what my can do, Just what it did. With me in it. Race wieght 4200lbs. Lets see some slips? Heres mine. Car 53 all day long thats alls I know.
I have to say that this weekend was a BLAST... Saturday's best time for me was... 11.92@117 1.80 60'. Never went head to head with Hal.. Hal was having issues and I was trying to hold Scott down long enough to try and tune the car. Sadly, by the time we messed with the tune, it was time to pack up. I did, however, get to go head to head with trojan. All I can say is that fricken 300 gets out of the HOLE like a bat out of HELL. Chris did an amazing job at racing that sled, but in the end, 1bad4dr got the WIN. hehe Congrats on your 11.9 chris. A job WELL deserved. The good news, I did a photoshoot at the end of the day and should be featured in an upcoming issue of Dodge Enthusiast Magazine. Hal and I did manage a couple side by sides at Speedworld today. woot. Alas, HAL triumphed. The OLD man has one hell of a quick reaction. hehe That and he kept blowing me kisses at the tree. lol I did manage to break another personal best at Speedworld. [email protected] 1.73 60' (DA was around 2600') Very next run I squeeked out an 11.85@114 1.68 60' same DA. The tune that Scott put in the night before DID NOT hold. I ran a datalog and my spark was back to a 15.5* Advance and my A/F was PIG rich at a 10.6. UGH. back to the drawing board I guess. lol I killed many SRT10 trucks, but my favorite kill was a Copperhead Viper. hahahahahahahahahaha Even though I ran a 12.0 and the Copperhead ran a 11.89, I still managed to cross the finishline first. hehe. I got the jump on him out of the gate, but the Viper managed to real me back in but we ran out of track and I inched out (Literally) WIN light. WOOT! Fun weekend to say the least.
wow, sounds like a blast guys!!! soooooo ron, the old guy got ya huh???? must have been a long drive home!!! hahahahahaha all good!!! wish i could have been there to enjoy the fun as well!!! just glad to hear everyone had a fun and SAFE time!!
I hadn't made a timed quarter mile run with DR's for a year and a half. Hadn't been in my car for over 3 months. My car kept losing it's lockout of torque management. I was not hooking up very well. One run, I broke loose after launch, hit the rev limiter at 7000, went limp, coasted to halftrack, had to restart twice. I even had a full tank of gas, 50/50 91 and 100 octane. I have no idea what my race weight was. But with a shipping weight just over 4400, me 300, probably 20-30 lbs of junk in the car, and a full tank of gas, was well over 4800 maybe 4900. Ron and I didn't pull seats, jack, owners manual, nothing, as some do to pick up a tenth or two. No light wheels and tires. No tricks or smoke and mirrors. Just having fun. I was running a conservative 19 degrees of advance and a 100 shot. Mid 11's where obtainable, especially in the morning, just couldn't put it together with the PCM issues. Scott did a tweak and ran an 11.85 later when no one else was out of the twelves. The better ET was mainly done with the 60', as Scott only stalled to about 1700, resulting in a 1.69 60'. SpeedWorld on Sunday Hal 2 Ron 0 The saga continues. HalV48 426+more N2O and 1Bad4dr+N2O.
Very nicely done all. Sounds like a ton of fun. Now as moderator of the Drag Racing forum, I'm demanding (asking pretty please?) that the OWNERS of this website at least update the timeslip database with their own best runs!!! Of all people who should have correctly updated info here.....
I did trap 119 and 120 and several 117's. The SpeedWorld ones are barely ledgible. I'll get around to it Matt. DA was in the 2550 to 2650 range at SpeedWorld.
they were scared of each others!!!! :fear::shutup::cry2: LOL Man it was a great time the weather was nice and you couldnt ask for more!!!! I have vids of ron running and i'll post them up in a few
No need for excuses or explanations. Personal bests are personal bests, and always leave you with an opportunity to improve. You and Ron's times already put both of you in the top 20 of all LX's ever run. (at least with data to be found on the internet.)
Hey bud, you missed out. We all had a good time. But I think Hal kinda of mislead, whatta ya say Hal, fastes stock block 6.1 there  On spray maybe :harhar: Me thinks my 10 passes at 12.2's took the victory on 6.1 NA activities. rop:
I don't have vids... but I took about 380 pictures of the racing, I am still going through them! I will put the best ones up!!!! I know I have several shots of your car!!
Thanks Chris, 16 runs, 15 with slips. 10- 12.2's, 2-12.3's and three that I fruched up . 11 high 1.7 60's. I could have been a bracket gawd that day!!. :bigwink:
Congrats buddy. Sounds like SW was a good time. Sorry we missed it, we were gonna head over for some fun but after figuring out that the Oz wagon had self destructed, it didn't feel good anymore.
