I've got an aluminum piece that has a semi-gloss black powdercoat finish that I want to remove. What's the best thing I can buy legally to remove it? without etching the aluminum or anything?

sand blasting .. bead blasting ..

I used this "aircraft paint stripper" that is sorta like a gel that you put all over the part and let it side and it bubbles off .. you may need to do this a couple times

Now we're talkin. The thing has a switch in it so I can't be blasting it with anything. It's pretty small, like small flashlight size. I can do it a little at a time for a long time with rags and queue tips. That's ok. Then I would be polishing it... I'm starting to think I might just forget about it and leave it alone.
