Well? Do you replace the blower? what about cams? head work? who is currently a "superstar" for this line? ... discuss
Anywho... Intake, exhaust, pulley upgrades, ECU tuning...That seems to be the general route. As for a "superstar"? Haven't really heard anything big but I managed to dig up a couple: Crossfire Drifter from SEMA, (400HP SRT-6 drifter): http://www.dodgeboy.net/news/2004sema/index.htm Kicker's SRT-6 show car (very expensive boom-box): http://www.caraudiomag.com/features/0604cae_cross/index.html That SEMA drifter gives me ideas about roll-cages and my 10 sec goal
The best times that I've seen so far have been in the 12.2's. There should be some SRTT-6's in the high 11's within the next two months. For the past couple of years it would take $3000-3200 to get into the 12'6s or so. Now in the last month they are hitting 12.3-12.4's with some of the newer parts that are showing up for our cars. Before the end of the year, headers should be available as well as a heat exchanger. No one that I'm aware of has put on a set of DR's yet either. All those times are with stock wheels and tires. A set of 17 or 18 dr's on the back should be good for a bit of reduction with that much extra power. With a set of 17's, it would also help with the gearing.
absolutely, 100% agree with you on this jason!!! the most fun i had on the road course was in the 6....
Enough. Either stay on topic or don't post. Any more of that garbage will be deleted as soon as I see it. THIS IS YOUR ONE WARNING. DEAL WITH IT.
Title is "typical" mod route. Is there a typical mod route? How many SRT6 members do we have? How many SRT6's were made? You're going to be pretty much out there on your own for mods right? On the other hand, I think I'd expect most SRT6 owners to be mod kind of people. What's it like?
If I could justify a stable of cars, I'd have an SRT-6 just for road course driving. That thing handled like a champ at Laguna.
Yea, but how would you go about modding it? I don't think you have a thousand or so others trying things out to see what works best or doesn't work at all.
That's the problem. There were less than four thousand made, and most likely less than half that number are interested in modding them, so most companies won't make them because they won't ever come out ahead. Thanks Rob for sticking your neck out for us. And there are currently two SRT-6 members here, myself and The Toy. We're both from Florida, we've both met. I don't know any other SRT-6 owners. We're few and VERY far between.
Okay, these numbers are even less than I remember but: SRT-6 production numbers (2005) 2016 coupes, 968 roadsters (2006) 13 coupes Total worldwide production : 2997 I'll have to find a way to confirm this or not, but it'll take longer.
Holy crap! There isn't even going to be much of an aftermarket for interior and exterior stuff. Save your stock parts in storage, you could be talking Barrett Jackson in not too many years.
Trust me, the guys over on the crossfire forums were all goin on about the SRT-6 being the next superbird. I got a small pile of stock parts goin in my computer room from the 6 already. Hopefully soon I can add more to the pile. And I'm working with some vendors on cosmetic things for the 6 and crossfire's in general.
