So I have had the SRT since July and I have started to notice that weird cars seem to want to race me... Now when I say "weird cars" i dont mean like odd looking or rare, but cars you'd NEVER expect to see racing anyone, let alone an SRT anything... So far I have had the following "challenges"... 4 Hyundai Elantras 3 Kia Spectras 1 Hyundai Tiburon (at least thats sort of understandable) and a Toyota Camery These haven't been the only ones...but these were the more random cars that have tried to "race" me...All of them had some form of "mod" done to them...but every one who i did decide to humor...it wasn't even a race... So I pose the question again...do you guys get this a lot...we all get mustangs/camaros/GTO's and the like...but these random ones just amuse me...is it because we drive a sedan...do they not know SRT yet?
I got beat by a Stock Miata at sandia but it handled freaking awesome and couldnt catch him in the corners. :dribble: but ive had a NA 1 gen Stratus yelling at me he wants to go. as well as a Focus :band:
at least you have seen some pretty quick Miata's around...but a Elantra?!? haha...it just struck me as very odd that people in those kinds of cars would try and race anyone haha...i'd think just by the sound of my car that they would think twice... oh well...it can be amusing on an otherwise dull drive home from work :getlost:
I had a mustang with a cowl induction hood and a full body kit and it said saleen everwhere it could, oh yeah it was a V6.
If I see a SRT I'll egg him or her on just to see it run. Not like I wanna race it just wanna see it and hear it.
Ive seen a few turbo miatas autoXing but not on the roadcourse no power but handle awesome i got the chance to take a ride in SP miata that ran faster then me, it felt like over G in the long corners
an forgot about one last year driving home a yellow turbo CRX started shooting his BOV at me and took off, the misses was like WTF so dropped it down and pasted him like it was cool
I have never had any wierd ones, the typical ricers is about the only thing that amusses me. Tell me what this sounds like though. I had a run in with a trans am. The ram air hood, were both doing 60mph side by side honked 3 times and was dead nuts even untill 110mph, then it was like he hit a nitrous button, like they do on FAST AND FURIOUS! LOL, He just took off like a bat out of hell. Was he just messin with me, then put it to the floor, or did he more than likely spray? I know nothing about that car, it was a run in on the HWY, I am complelly stock.
Nobody wants to race me. Did do 2 partials with a badass Supra. Killed him thru 2nd, huge lead, and he was coming back strong, catching traffic, I was off the gas, he caught me coming on strong, heard large BOV woosh. We talked, he wanted to know what I was making a the rear wheels, told him I had N2O, and he says, Oh thats why, I said no, the bottle is empty and not even hooked up, he nodded his head and said "Impressive". Nice guy.
well since my cars not running right I dout I would even try to race a elantra gt. lol my buddys got one and hes not any where near the racing crowd. funny he got so ripped off when he bought it. I told him to take me with him.
