Here are the pics from today... What GREAT weekend for racing. Laren's bad ass 57 Chevy Outlaw Door Slammer. She went 7.4@202 today with issues hooking up. haha Jim and Corey with the Yearwood 2004 Corvette. She went 8.045@168 and an awesome 1.11 60'. Jim will get his 7's Memorial weekend. Maureen and Corey chillin... From left to right. Sean (driver of the 57 Chevy) and Jim Some random race cars from today... A local Drag Radial/turbo racer in Dickson Racing (far right), getting some air. His best run of the day came in at a 8.35@160 Jim in the Yearwood Vette. Anyone who dislikes NHRA Safety Rules needs to HUSH... The Blue Vette in the center did not have a great day. As you see, he is getting ready for his run... This is how the car came back. The driver was fine. He got out of the car on his own and into the ambulance. He has bruises and banged up, but because of ALL the safety requirements, he walks away from this....
I wanted to go so badly! Sadly mah leg kept me from much movement yesterday Even missed orientation for Zia Gun Club
I'm sorry you were not feeling up to coming out... It was a GREAT weekend!! LOVE spending the whole weekend at the track!!!!
Chris, You can ride with us on Memorial Day weekend. hehe Jim threw me in as his pit crew. That was some fun shit. haha
Considering the SHITTY week I had last week, yes, we had a FANTASTIC time. Was great to get back out to the track, even though we weren't racing. lol
and thats why you put a roll cage on there lol.... its amazing what the safety equipment does...most of these guys should be dead... i hurt from watching stuff like this...but it shows you how necessary and amazing the safety stuff is... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1tcfqC1rQs
Hey Ron and Maureen, Looks like you had a blast. Thanks for sharing all of the pictures. Yep, I should have come out. Early Sunday afternoon, I was laying on a table getting a bunch of little needles stuck in me...acupuncture for my wrenched back from work. First time with the needles and I am not sure if it really helped.
I thought about calling you, but knew your crazy schedule doesn't work with last minute planning. lol Let's talk this week.
