So I have been asked to do a write up on my Water Methanol install so here it is:

    Kit I got:

Start by taking the front fascia off the car:

A good place to install the pump is to the Radiator support right next to the wind shied wiper bottle especially if you plan on using the 1 gallon wiper bottle as a storage location for your water methanol (it is completely safe to use as windshield wiper fluid on your windows also because wiper fluid IS water methanol.)

Drill 4 holes in the support and mount the pump, you can mount the pump any direction but this one seemed to be best:

Run the supply line from the bottom of the wiper reservoir bottle to the pump (locate your hole in the wiper bottle below the top sensor as that is your factory installed low fluid level indicator and it will flash on your dash when you get low:

    Solenoid Location on headlight support:

I ran the line from the pump to the solenoid thru the bumper to the other side of the car to protect it. From the solenoid I ran the tubing along the radiator support to the CAI:

For my vacuum line I t-ed into the hose in the front of the intake and used a size adapter to connect the hoses:

My Control box is mounted next to the brake booster under the access panel so it is out of the way and not in direct heat or water:

The RPM signal for the yellow wire is connected to a the #7 injector:

Green Pump on Indicator is located in the barrel of my RPM Gauge on the dash.

That is pretty much it, a little wiring to do since there are 4 wires going to the control box (Power, ground, RPM signal, Signal out to pump and to Solenoid).

You can get power from the cigarette lighter but be sure to put a in line fuse on your power wire.

Thanks for the write up Nathan! How much is this kit? Also, I notice you mentioned that if you're tapping into the power wire for the cigarette lighter to add an inline fuse...I did this for my wideband meter/gauge but didn't add the inline fuse...does anything that taps into this wire need one or something?

Let me know when that kit your trying works out since this may be my next mod. Lastly, for water/meth....since I don't know anything about it really, do you actually get this blend somewhere, blend it yourself or use a particular type of ww fluid?

You live in Canada...I bet the Wiper fluid up there has plenty of Methanol in it...go smell your wiper fluid and if it smells like alcohol then you are probably good :)

I add an inline fuse to EVERYTHING...always better to be safe than calling the fire truck.

......it is not about GAINING power...it is keeping the power you are making but losing from heat.

Two Versions of an answer for you:

    1. Just installing this tune will get you lower intake air temperature reading ...lower temp/colder air makes the PCM not pull timing...no pulled timing = more power itself. Also I HAD an issue with detonation at 6300+ RPM in 1-2 gear...not any more.

    2. I have a race tune we are working on...track only.
No knock sensors, more timing, etc. Methanol is 113 octane so that will increase my ability to make more power without worrying about detonation.

AGAIN as I have said before it is not about making power for most with this but I have personally seen my IAT reading in the 170*s then engaging the water methanol I dropped the temp of the air coming into the intake to around 60-70*s....that will get ya going Sir.

Any problems with the pump hitting the brake duct in that location?

Yes you can use Nitrous...in fact this will help you run a higher shot of Nitrous safer by lowering EGTs it is said (I don't run nitrous I only read it on one of the W/M info sites)
