The county I live in went from 64 polling places in 2004 down to 36 this year. I thought that I would have a line but went at 1:00 pm and had absolutely no line at all. Walked in and directly to the poll worker, got my card to put in the machine, voted and was out of there in 10 minutes maximum. I think all of the early voting really helped keep the lines down today.
We voted and late at that (5:15pm EST). In and out in 15 min. Nothing interesting. Just requested that next time I receive a ballot by mail.
Okay, just take it easy!! Oh and Marc went to vote before lunch, no line, just walked in and did his thing.
My wife and I took both kids with us today to the polling place, which is at my sons school. Nothing exciting and only took about 10 minutes tops from when we walked in to when we left. Both of us work for the state so we were both off today. Gotta love that!!!
Based on the latest results, I guess they got the days mixed up and voted today anyway! I did.:usflag:
Apparently we do know how to elect presidents! Congrats President-elect Obama! Now "can't we all just get along?"
I would have swam back to the states for that... they didn't even offer boths to us we had to mail ours in like a month ago.
