We are happy to announce that we have released the U7134 tuner for the 03-05 SRT4s and the 03-06 PT Cruiser GTs.

The tool supports Mopar Stage 1/2/3 PCMs (with or without toys), and has performance tunes for use with each of those PCMs. Our tunes showed solid gains over the stage PCMs even on cars with larger turbos.

Stock cars with stock PCMs can expect gains in the +30 hp/+40-50 ft/lb range at the wheels.

The adjustable parameters in the Predator include:
Boost Control, WOT Fueling, MBT Timing, WOT Timing, Fans, Idle Speed, Rev and Speed limiters.

For the initial release, the PT Cruisers are supported for modifing the stock tune or CMR tuning, but there are no canned tunes for PTs yet.
We will add these tunes along with TCM support for the auto PTs in a revision in the coming weeks.

    Thanks
    Mike

    Mike,

Awesome news. I have A LOT of questions. Sorry for all of them:

    1) The Stage 2 w/toys and all Stage 3 PCMs throw three "soft" auto trans codes that are visible when codes are drawn from an OBD II scanner or smog machine. Can these be blocked or removed? If so, through the tool or CMR?

    2) Is the catalyst efficiency code removed as well? If so, though the tool or CMR?

    3) More specifically, I have Stage 3. I'm looking at installing a 47/lb S3 turbo and may need to install larger injectors. Can the handheld adjust the fueling for the bigger injectors?

    4) Somebody told me there is already a canned tune for the Stage 3 PCM? If so, can you provide some insight as to what is changed?

    5) Lastly, how are the HOM tables affected by the handheld, if changes are made to the PCM when HOM is NOT engaged?

I have a question about this thing also...

It's about the canned tunes. I don't need or want a lot of extra tuning, she probably won't even want the stage 1, but I do. Is this thing going to be basically plug the thing in, press a button, and wait for the tune to finish loading? Or would I have to have the car tuned by a professional? Also can you de-tune back to stock? I like the idea of having the stage 1 benefits without the hassle of swapping out the CPUs.

Lox - definately wait for Mike to chime in but here's what I have read. WOT fuel can be adjusted +/- 20% in 3 different RPM ranges via the handheld. Same thing with timing as well. Partial throttle changes would need to be adjusted via the software. The handheld can hold 5 maps, with one of them being your stock map, for future use if you choose to do so.

It appears that the Predator is mimicing the options that are available to us LX guys as well.

But, keep in mind, it is ALWAYS better and SAFER to have a certified CMR Tuner do the timing, fuel, and knock adjustments. IMO

The Tool really is a cool device. Then plug in the datalogger. WOW!

is there a 5v input for logging a wideband alongside the engine parameters?

^ Very true. With my Stage 3, I think I'll be comfortable adjusting my WOT tables on my own, as I have a scan gauge to monitor knock and timing advance, and a wideband for A/F ratios. But the guys who are "stock" stock, I wouldnt touch anything until you get a wideband and scan gauge, or have a certified tuner perform a custom tune.

One thing that came to mind that I would like Mike to answer as well. It does datalogging, but is there a way to datalog A/F ratios?

    Ninja post

Are you saying it throws these codes on auto cars, or on SRT4s?

    2) Is the catalyst efficiency code removed as well? If so, though the tool or CMR?

This code can be removed through CMR. EPA does not like us putting that option in the handhelds any longer.

    3) More specifically, I have Stage 3. I'm looking at installing a 47/lb S3 turbo and may need to install larger injectors. Can the handheld adjust the fueling for the bigger injectors?

No, to 'properly' dial in injectors, you'll need a custom tune as there are a few adjustments that need to be made. The WOT fuel setting will at least allow you to get the A/F at WOT right until you can get a proper tune.

    4) Somebody told me there is already a canned tune for the Stage 3 PCM? If so, can you provide some insight as to what is changed?

If you have a stage 3, the Predator will see that when it reads your stock tune, and it will apply the tune we created based onthe stage 3 calibration.

We optimized the timing and fueling in the Stage 3 (all stage tunes) calibrations to allow you to get true plug and play gains of about 20 whp and 25-35 ft/lbs over the standard stage 3 tune.

    5) Lastly, how are the HOM tables affected by the handheld, if changes are made to the PCM when HOM is NOT engaged?

We do not alter the HOM tables that I am aware of, so pressing the magic button will still add however much timing is in the stock HOM calibration.

Yes, plug it in, let it read and save the stock tune, then install the Diablo tune and go. Done. 5 minutes tops.

You can plug the tool back in at any time and be back to the stock tune in about a minute....

    Thanks
    Mike

    Unfortunately, no, not currently.

There has been talk for a while of Innovate adding a plug in that would allow playing back Predator logs with their logworks software alongside any Innovate log, but it has yet to materialize.

Does the hardware (flasher tool) have a "reserved for future use" type port that could be taken advantage of at a later time?

    Mike,

The Stage 2 w/toys and all Stage 3 PCMs throw auto transmission codes in the SRT-4. I'm not sure why but if you can grab ahold of one with those PCMs installed you will see what I mean. They all start with 8xx. A CEL will not come on, but can be read via an OBDII scan tool.

For the cat efficiency, Stage 3 already "disregards" this code. I'm assuming the Stage 3 flash via the Predator won't add this back on will it?
