I've often assumed that Barack Obama couldn't be the sole power behind his rapid rise in politics. Barack is clever, but he is not smart. He has been well taught, but taught like an organ grinder's monkey. Read and distribute. All I know is businesses don't want new employees even if they need them because they still don't know the costs involved. (Health care reform etc.) Banks won't lend until they know about the new financial regulations. (capital concerns etc. and when are they going to deal with Freddy and Fanny?) The markets are diving because no one knows exactly how much the capital gains tax and dividend tax is going to be. My retirement has gone down the toilet thanks to our own governments attacks on capitalism. Because the markets are diving, people that have the money to spend, aren't. I won't put all the blame on Obama because he has a supporting cast but his quasi socialist ideas are pushing us towards a depression. The fool has sent me 3 stimulus checks when he should have spent the money building infrastructure that would pay dividends in jobs, lower costs in the future (better roads, enough water, enough cheap power etc.) He's a fool with good intentions. Just what we don't need. The wealthy (Democratic target) don't need to put money to use. But they do if they get a return. No return (Obama world) no investment. At least not here where we need it. I can appreciate that you and others want to deify this President or previous ones for that matter. Like I said, I don't revere the living. A life incomplete is admirable at best but certainly not yet ready to be canonized. To be sainted at 48 years old? Hardly. :maddy:
