This is my first run: Was a good time, the DA was +450 with a tail wind at times. I had a 2.02 60 foot time on that run in the picture. I got in five runs total with that 12.7, a 12.8, a 12.8, a 12.7 and a 12.8 on the last run. Track wasn't hooking great, I couldn't 60 foot under 2 seconds. OMSRT8's car is fast! I think there are more pictures of the day, there were about 10 SRT8s there Eric
Thanks Eric! I made three passes yesterday and they were all 12.3 (all were better than my previous PB of 12.4) I had never run on a track that was not prepped at all before yesterday. It required a little more effort to get traction but pretty much the same after that. Eric: We essentially have the same mods. I think the only difference in our times is the fact that I run DRs and you don't. If .1 lower 60' gets you .2 in E/T improvement, then we are essentially running the same times. Your 12.7s turn into 12.3s with my 60' time. Agree? We just need to figure out how to get to Mike's level!!! Sam
Well maybe it does, but it's one thing to say it and another to do it I think I could at least do a low 12 with DRs, but I just don;t think I want to even go there. Maybe on a great DA day I could to a 12.5x, but I think that's the limit of what I can do on street tires. I can live with it Mike on the other hand, he's got the skinnies and pulls hit serpentine belt. He only got a 12.0x but later realized he didn't have his shift points raised on the Diablo. He was in messing with it earlier this week to clear the cat code I guess. Gives us all a reason to go back sometime soon! Eric
Sorry I missed it guys. Close family member had emergency surgery end was in intensive care here locally. Even I couldn't be hardcare racer enough to go racing instead of go to the hospital and help out watching the relative's 3 year old, etc. If you go again this season, let me know. I really will show up (absent fatalities or near fatalities). Huh - I just realized that last time I missed racing was also due to a near fatality......my own near fatality in June. Ouch!!
