So i got a flat fixed today and when they put air in the tire...they broke the TPMS

so they went to the local dodge dealer...got a new one...installed it...everything's great

cept that it keeps reading 0psi....

they tried to "activate" it with this hand held thing but had no luck...is this a dealer fix or is there something I have to do to reset it?

Sounds like they stuck an 08' Sensor in an 07' car.Tell em to go back and get the right sensor.

Fill it to 45psi then back it down to the desired psi. Drive for about 5-10 miles, if this does not fix it, then do as Erik said.

Not sure what they "activated" cause everything is completely automatic and the sensors come "activated" from the factory. They go into sleep mode with no motion and with normal use the battery lasts about 10 years (it's not a replaceable battery). ...and there's no on/off switch...

Steve if you go over 40 psi and it does not reset like Erik said they gave you the wrong sensors, they did that to me when I installed my USW's luckily I caught it at the parts counter and got the right ones ASAP.

The parts counter says "they gave me the correct sensor that matched up to my Vin Number".

the air thing at the gas station was broken so I havent gotten around to putting air in it yet...will try it soon

That would explain it... if you haven't put any air in it, it's going to read zero psi.
