So during my time laid up, and doped up on prescription narcotics I got an idea. Tossing the 18x8.5s with a 40 offset and getting me some 19x8.5s with a 35 offset for the neon. With some issues we had this weekend with the tire and rim clearing the front coilover it solidified my decision to move on to a 19" rim

My reasoning for this move is:
    • When I look at the car all pretty and ready for people to drool at I see too much tire and too little wheel
    • When I look at the car I notice that regardless of if I went with a 17" rim or 18" it is just a smidge off of following the radius of the wheel well.
I plan on keeping the same general look cause I think it is OUTSTANDING, but the rim just looks too small for when I want to show off a bit.

How do you feel about that?

I know what you mean about the wheel well. More so the front, its the shape of it that makes you think you need a bigger rim. You can always slam the car more and get a low pro tire... Shine it up and you're golden.

I honestly think 17's are the biggest wheels taht should be on a Neon, but then again I am more into the function over looks.

I know the look I want, but I am working with some companies now, one of which could be a first for the manufacturer.

I hope you don't plan on too much driving with the 19's on, or that your roads are better than the roads around here. I know there have been times when I wish I was back on 17's when I discover those potholes I failed to see. I'm sure if I had any narrower of a tire profile my rims would be...:rip:

Oh I know man, on my 18s I feel everything... The neon is a weekend duty machine now... so to have look over comfort is expected.

but it will still be powerful for the track hence the second set of rims.... :D
