Got my first ticket in her last night. The cop told me multiple times how much he liked my car and how nice it was..........it just wasn't nice enough to keep him from writing me up for rolling a stop sign about 8 houses from my own!! oh well..........guess that's going to cost me
Ouch. That bites. I say show up to court. Most Metro's will dismiss a ticket if the cop does not show. Even if the cop show's, you might have the opportunity to talk him into dismissing the ticket...
I know our county court will dismiss tickets almost everytime the person shows and asks...judge offers dismissal in 6 months if you dont get another ticket.....I saw him dismiss 3 tickets in the same day on one guy...he got a ticket from a sheriff's deputy, state trooper and a city cop all in the same day,.:erm:....his wife came to court and was obviously pregnant...judge chewed him out and said he would need the money for his kid...but warned him that he best never be in his court again..
Show up. Plead "no contest" (basically a guilty plea). You're hoping the cop doesn't show and it's dismissed. If the cop shows, just tell the judge that you have a great driving record and must have had a lapse in judgement so close to home, you're really upset about it and it will never happen again. If you don't have a great driving record just tell the judge you pleaded no contest hoping the cop wouldn't show up and that it would be dismissed. [edit] change "no contest" to "not guilty". Everything else is the same.
no worries fellas, the day before christmas eve i got 112 in a 65..that ones gonna hurt...bless the lawyers indeed!
MARKUS!!!!!!!! WTF ARE YOU DOING?!?!??! Dude, you got TWO tickets within a week for 94 in a 65 AND 112 in a 65?!?!?! Dude prepare yourself for a stay in a "federal pound you in the ass prison!" I thought your car was broke anyway???
no, its fixed. these are the first 2 tickets ive gotten in almost 3 years...wtf was i thinking..i wasnt, thats the problem!
That's an easy one to win... Lawyer: Your honor, see the first ticket was 112, and the second ticket is only 94 so you see, my client obviously learned his lesson...you can see that he is slowing down.
You were thinking you want a stay at a federal pound-you-in-the-ass penitentiary is what you were thinking, hahaha!
