ok, this is for all of the performance gurus..... what are some of your thoughts on good quality air filters for a mopar cai.....

brands, websites, pros and cons, size, etc.....

need to replace my current pos one and want something good. thanks fellas....

erik - not having my car in front of me, i can't remember how much room i have, but i did see on the kn website that they have an 8" filter that is 6 1/2" in dia for the 4" mopar cai. is this big enough??? also, does it really matter if the filter is tapered or a straight tube design...

thanks for the insight eric!!!

Chris you might consider a AEM dry filter...no oiling and coating sensors....My brother has one on his RT Mopar CAI...but it is the same size as the Mopar CAI so I cant help on how big of one will fit..

haha, Chris, I have a Mopar CAI... as always, post part #s and pics when you get this sorted out :thumb2:

will do...... probably do some shopping this weekend quick!!!

for me rick, it is pretty easy one, i have the airbrushing on the mopar cai, so i do not want to lose that!!! just get a better filter than the pos i have now after my original one got damaged.....

I think its time for a "Which CAI?" thread... every forum worth its weight in salt has one. I will take this burden upon myself.

Well... for the LX's I think it's pretty much between the AFE stage II or some sort of Hammer. But like I said I haven't seen anyone include the Mopar in comparison tests.
