Well Techco called me a while ago and told me that while doing the final pull on the Dyno, they heard a horrible pop sound. Of course the great guys they are, they shut the car down, and called me immediately. After a long discussion with Techco and CMW, Techco will be pulling my motor and CMW will retrieve it to diagnose the issue. Now, before anyone goes on a bash fest or thinking ill of any company, please understand the many different scenario's concerning this... Many things can be a factor. First, the original tune by a company I will not name (you all know who it is) did a subpar tune. So much that it had a few people scratching their heads as to why my motor was still running (this was over 8 months ago). The second tuner who was very gracious in getting a better tune in my car was only able to do a basic street tune. No data logs were conducted. This tuner kept asking me for some data logs so that he could finish the tune, but I kept finding issues with the old blower set up that needed to be fixed before any data logs and tuning could be done. This was entirely my fault as I did not have the extra cash to purchase things I need to do the fix (in a timely manner). I drove around with the street tune for nearly 8 months. I mention this because I, the owner, must take some sort of responsibility for this mishap. I place no blame anywhere. This was just a misfortune and bad luck. The CMW built motor has ALWAYS performed with no issues and with out flaw. Step in to Techco. They have been awesome and have communicated EVERYTHING that was needed to be communicated without hesitation. With everything mentioned above, it seems like the motor was just a ticking time bomb waiting for a place to happen. Fortunately it happened at Techco and close by to CMW. Techco will be pulling the motor in the VERY near future. Once the motor is out, CMW will drive out to Techco and retrieve the motor. From there, CMW will tear the motor a part to see what failed and figure out why. I have to say that I am very fortunate that these two Vendor's are the ones who are doing the work as I trust both companies more than I trust myself. Once CMW gets a handle on the cause, CMW will make the necessary repairs and ship the motor back to Techco for installation. Once the motor is reinstalled, Techco will retune the car and I will then take ownership again. UGH! I want to take this time to THANK each and every person from Techco AND CMW for their prompt handling of this bad situation. You guys are NUMBER 1 in my book.
I agree with you Ron. Although terrible news it is, its a great feeling to know this situation is being handled in the best way. Best way from both parties you and the vendors. Two outstanding vendors right onboard and taking care of matters is an A+. Especially on such a quick/short notice! Keep us updated...

Ron I know it sucks man but I know between Techco and CMW your in the best hands possible buddy. The GSM stench will finally be off you car after this and be better then ever. Heck Maureen is probably more pissed then you, bet your glad you got her those rims now!
Hurts i'm sure, but fixed it will eventually be, Ron I vividly remember your *cough* "issues" with GSM back in the day on another forum

He officially took over the truck 5 weeks ago..... Whenever Ron has his car in the shop, for whatever reasons, I loose the truck.... (wow, I hope I do not sound bitter!:bigwink I just hope that it doesn't take very long to get the car up and running again!
Again.... I am without truck.... Even if we got a rental car (especially if it was a Prius!!!)... I would STILL be without my truck!!! Boy, Tony... I though you knew Ron better! than that!!!
