TECHCO has shipped many superchargers and we recently found that two of its units with customer installation (non dealer) have encountered engine failures. These failures were caused by installation error and/or unauthorized tuning modifications through the Diablo Predator. TECHCO would like to stress the importance of using a knowledgeable installer and limitations on modifying the TECHCO tune. Our base kit is designed to work with a stock application. Anything other than that needs to have its own unique tune. TECHCO is here to help you with these situations. If any of our customers has any questions about our supercharger unit, installation and or tuning, PLEASE call us prior and let us help. It is very important that you are fully aware of the amount of power you will be adding to your car and how to get it. If the necessary steps are not followed you will be left with a catastrophic engine failure. Please take the time to read through our instructions and make sure you are capable of doing the install. TECHCO will only warrant a supercharger installation if it is done by a approved TECHCO installer.
