hey stevo! Just got back from the track and... I ran a...

12.9!!! I was pretty happy with that. Beat 3 gtos in one night. The last one is on video. It was a modded 06. Got my 60' time to 1.96. Do you even care?? LOL!! You need to update! I picked up 4 tenths from last week, fan mod, tstat, and tcm.

Congrats on the improved times and taking out some goats. I just couldn't get away from prior obligations in time to make it out.

There is a lot of goats and stangs around this area, but very few SRT8's and no other 426 ones, guess I have some sort of a reputation.

I believe so..... from what I have felt about the TCM update since I got it.
    However,
This is dependent on using the Predator and being able to use raised shift points and adjust the rev limiter.
You can also raise the rev limiter and keep it is manual upshift and MAYBE you can time your shift before the rev limiter. Before the TCM update, I was always hitting the stupid rev-limiter before I hit the shift.
The main reason I got the update was so I could have the auto-upshift in AutoStick with the raised shift points. On the strip it is one less thing to worry about. But it would be REAL nice to be able to adjust shift points as DiabloSport originally led us to believe before the Predator release.

I'd say im happy with the tcm update. I picked up over 4 tenths in the 1/4. That included adding a 180 jet tstat and fan mod. Do you get rubber in 2nd on the street? All I run is the canned 93 tune.

First...I was running Goodyear F1's and not RSA's.
I didn't get 2nd gear rubber with my B&G Stage II and I didn't get 2nd gear with the predator 91 oct performance tune. It took a Predator dyno tune by GSM. When I went from 363 to 392RWHP and oh yea.. Torque was also increased by about 18RWTQ plus there was big increases across in the lower rpm range.....big effect.

I got RSA's. Wheel spin on the 1-2 shift?
Domed humps in your speed and rpm graphs are not conducive to ET...
Both of the below are with the CAI 91 Oct tune. The second one I've done a good bit of tweaking. Disclaimer: my "track" runs downhill 9'.

(ok, so it wasn't really violent wheel spin and I decided not to feather it to see if it would hook up by itself... it might have but it was taking too long)

Ahhh, much better... a lot less exciting, but much better.

You took 2nd gear to 108mph in wheel spin on a 1-2 shift. Those RSA'a are hard, but even the F1's would spin (off the line no problem) unless you feathered them down, but you didn't have to go far for them to hook.
Now I have 275 Vredsteins and they have a pretty good grip mainly because there is more tread on the ground.

Hahaha, no. I launched and spun them for about 3/4 second then lifted (too much) to hook. Then they broke loose again on the 1-2 shift. I could feel them spinning but it wasn't completely freely. Pretty strange feeling. Felt like the rear end was sort of floating but I didn't really get sideways or anything. So... I figured "well, it's probably going to hook up here just any instant now"... it didn't and that went on for over a second. Then I feathered it a bit and it hooked up again. Going back over the graph I was probably going about 50mph and the wheels were going about 70mph. Strange that it didn't just break completely loose and run away.

The second graph looks pretty typical for me now. I launch like grandma so there's no spin there and then you can see the bump at the 1-2 shift. Probably just a bit more than a chirp.

Actually it was a very strange feeling. I've never experienced something like that before. First thing that entered my head was "I think maybe something in the rear suspension let loose" 'cause it felt very light and there was just a hint of lateral swaying. Being the cool head that I am I didn't panic and figured I'd just hang in there and see if it developed further... lol. Then it dawned on me that I had broken traction. Maybe it was 1 legged? All that took about 1/2 second to run through my feeble brain. And then most of a second later I decided it wasn't going to fix itself and feathered it.

I wondered later why I saw that....... 180 in second gear.....we wish.
The RSA's must be like the F1's, when they break loose you didn't really hear them (more of a deep rubbing sound) ...you just knew your car speed was way faster than you were moving.
The Vredsteins really "sound off" when they break loose, they squal.
I used to have a "69 Dodge Dart with a 440 6-pack that would even spin the tires going into third (4.10 rear). First to second under full throttle was a real thrill ride, when the tires broke loose then torque twist would start the rear coming around to about a 45 deg angle....it was like drifting.
