I have to be at a clients store for some computer services they need. Im not sure how long I'll be there today. Im thinking 5 hours.

how long did the install take? do you have a stock tune from vortech or are you doing some custom tune??

install looks great .. huge props!!

 

I've been working on it off and on for the last few days, so I guess about 12 hours. I have the stock tune from Vortech, but I'll have to get a custom tune for the meth kit.

ken, you never cease to amaze me doing all that work yourself. i would be shitting bricks and finally have to tow it to a shop.

 

Ken, your install looks great! One thing, (if you haven't) please check with Snow to make sure its OK to mount your meth pump sideways. I seem to remember the Labonte kits specifying that the pump be vertical with the head be down.

 

Damn Ken, that's awesome. Car has come along way since i saw it last time. Now, go show it off at the SF! Represent NorCal right! =]

Thanks for the complement. According to Snow the pump can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and I'm glad because as you can see in my application it needs to be horizontal.

I couldn't spend much time today working on the car but I did get the Safe Injection unit mounted.

Here is a short video of the 1st start up with the new Vortech V-3 Supercharger. I also took her out for a spin, and was amazed at the power. When the boost kicked in I could feel myself being pulled into the back seat. What a RUSH!!!

woah ... sweet video Talon, any adjustments need to be made after install or did it "bolt" right in without any problems

 

Thanks guys. Installation was pretty straight forward. I had to pin the crank, have the power steering pump pulley removed, and new hub pressed on, and the rest was just bolt on stuff.
