I know that there has been much discussion on this subject but does anyone know where I can get a short black antenna that works for our jeeps? I know a bunch of people have them where did you get it? Also is there any loss in reception cuz I listen to the radio a lot?
Well, yea. Generally there will be loss with a shorter antenna. Antennas pretty much work best when they're 1/2 wavelength long. 1/4 wavelength is ok too. If you go short then they have a load that simulates 1/2? and they usually don't work quite as well. ...I think that's how it goes...
