Why would you be in trouble Chris? HHP is a vendor here, not Arrington. My shortblock was ordered by Steve for me. I passed on all the coatings. My heads and cam are custom designed for me. Nothing off the shelf. Cam was ground for correct PTV clearance, Ferrea Comp Valves, bigger than most, custom length push rods, special valve springs 1 of only 5 sets, top fuel quality porting. Cam is, how should I say, very large. LOL Steve took my motor to a very reputable shop for final assembly. They degree'd the cam, clayed the PTV clearence, blueprinted final assembly. GSM only dropped the motor in. Scott did an excellant tune, I'm very happy with it. Many hours to get it right. No one has a motor like mine or will they ever unless I sell my car. LOL
Right on hal! I know your motors 1 off, I just wanna see Envied get a deal, He hits the track, He's ready to run, And he's in a Jeep! Arringtons gonna treat him like a number, Josh will treat him like family. Plus he's a SoCal Bro and I wanna see him catch a break on the final numbers.
Well, I know with HHP and you Chris, Envied will be in great hands. But you've got to remember Steve is a Arrington Dealer, and has great Mondello heads. I'm surprised he hasn't been in here yet.
And I think Envied wants to run Mondello heads, And Steves my Dog so I dont wanna step on toes here, Envied checking around from what I see. And Im not sure that the N/A Arrington is up to the task, So far N/A HHP is kicking ass, Once again except for that PPP freak Car! I luv you guys! lol! Trojan, HalV48+, NetNathan, ujokin2
Your motor is pretty amazing for such low CR Trojan but I also am amazed at the power Steve is making with his 426 on the wet flow heads. Like 508 on an AWD dyno.
These 426s are making some real good power Erick and so far they have been proven on the street and strip. You already have some of the best heads money can buy. As far as power is concerned Steve's Power to weight ratio is way up there. His 5000 lbs jeep went 11.60 back to back to back one right after another in nearly +1500 DA scratched up cyl walls and all.
Arrington Yes my walls were scratched, but that may have to do with the coatings. I just pulled the engine and the machining looks great. Arrington sent me a new 426 and it is going in. The machining on this one looks pretty trick and according to them some "extra" has been done. It was pretty obvious once turning it over. As far as Arrington quality, in my opinion, second to none. Besides the power isnt made in the shortblock, its the heads and cam. A 5,000lb+ Winnebago shaped Jeep running four (4) literally hot lap back to back 11.6's is a testament. At this point in time NO OTHER vendor or his customer are running those times or putting down that kind of power down in an naturally aspirated 5,000lb Jeep. Just think what this engine would do in a 4,000lb LX:stars: Eric.....get the Arrington 426 with wet flow Mondello's and be really "Envied"!!! .
