Got mine on yesterday. There is a definate difference in how the car rides and handles. Lowered the rear 1/2 inch since my tires are 3/4 inch taller than stock. C.
Remember - you can raise the car right back up as much as you want. And you can alter the ride to make it whatever you want as well. Did you start firm? Soft? Middle of the road?
This looks like a nice system, but why rear only? Are you working on a set for the front? Wouldn't it help to have something for the front also? It might be nice to be able to adjust front response (height too) also especially in road or drag racing. Why won't you respond to this simple question??????????????????????
I will respond to this question. Did you ask it before and I failed to answer? If so, I apologize, as I didn't notice your question went unanswered. The answer is yes - they are working on the fronts next. It absolutely will be great to have a front coilover where you can let the front suspension drop like a rock so the front end can rise better. I've seen engineering cad/cam drawings for both the top mount and bottom mount and hope to get a prototype soon. It will likely be July before they're available though. EDIT: D'oh!!!!! I just scrolled up and noticed the question I missed. My bad. I've been out of town since last Thursday night and just got home late last night and was trying to answer as much as I could as quickly as I could. Missed your question and it was right there. My bad.
Thanks for the response... I was thinking you had ignored me for some reason...maybe because I had questioned the $1098 per pair price on an earlier post (#9), but I realize you have put a lot into the development of these coil overs specifically built just for the LX. I am glad you are working on coil overs for the front also. Looks like a great system. Do we get our chooice of spring rate with the order? Is there a "click" to each adjustment of compression and rebound damping?
LOL - nope. Absolutely wouldn't have ignored you on purpose. The price is what it is, and these certainly aren't for the average Joe Doe. You have your choice of spring rates, and we discuss options with each person, as there is no one "best" spring. It depends on what you want out of your suspension. More than half the people have gone with 2 sets of springs. One set for a firm ride on the street. The other set a soft set for maximum weight transfer at the dragstrip. Yes - there is a "click" for each adjustment. The compression damping has about 20 clicks. The rebound damping is threaded more finely, and has about 40 clicks.
