As you may know we have a major event happening in Phoenix at Firebird Raceway on January 19th. We have Chrysler regional advertising $$'s promoting the race as Tempe Dodge's Rumble in the Desert II. This was very short notice for everyone. We are partnered with yourclubs.net on the event. The event will be ours next year, as this was my original race and date. With a year to plan it, we can make this the Premier Modern Mopar event in the country. It will include every car represented on our banner. We also have a car show at Firebird also, and even an unique concept of and additional Show and Go classes for those chosing to race their cars too. Some of you may have been solicited by yourclubs.net directly and sent forms. Joe of yourclubs had to walk softly and not mention us due to every step having to go thru Chrysler's legal department. I'm not sure we will even be mentioned on the advertising. Chrysler is putting up quite a bit of money, but not enough. The money was negotiated in the early planning stages. Firebird's price list is like a Chinese Menu, everything is extra, and I mean everything, inclduding $350.00 for toilet paper. LOL It is our plan to have a fairly large tent that our vendors can display their wares in, with representation from you or without. We are in need of financial assistance in raising money to defer costs of the event. We are doing what we can by displaying our banners in a few prominent areas. We will be selling banner space for this also. We are making this up as we go, so bare with me. There is a final meeting with Chrysler tomorrow with yourclubs.net and after which you will see prominent advertising on our home page and elsewhere. The event is running in the red. This event will be pretty big this year, with really only 2 months of preparation. 2009, with a full year of prepartion, it should be huge. Ron, Chris, and I need to figure out how we're doing this, and we need to do ASAP. I would appreciate a response from all vendors either in this thread or a PM with your level of interest and what you might be able to contribute financially or in products or services. We will come up with a $$ figure on our banner space for the event also. We may do t-shirts also with vendor space. I look forward to your responses and comments. Thanks for your time and support.
