That's right folks, I have found a dealer who stated he would be willing to special order anyone a Challenger @ MSRP. So if anyone wants to order one up, shoot me a PM for their details. Sorry, this is not our store, we are a Chrysler Jeep store. Also, please be patient, as we are not receiving notifications on subscriptions or PM's from the board yet.
I just received a phone call from my Challenger source and their allocation has been used up! This means any new orders will be sitting there for a very long time until Chrysler offers up a new allocation. They were fortunate enough to receive an allocation of 3 units for the first release.
I plan on getting one...about 2-3 years from now....there will be used ones with <5,000 miles for around $30K....I've got something to pacify me for now..:baby:
There isn't any "fortune" involved is there? They just had to sell (or floor plan) a boat load of cars right? Just wondering if Chrysler does anything like a dealer's raffle for some number of cars. That way some low volume dealer has some chance at maybe an extra one?
No, allocations are based on the track history for sales from the particular dealership. This dealership actually has an excellent track record for the specialty vehicles and therefore ended up with a slighlty larger allocation than most dealers. Only a small few of the really large dealerships ended up with the top allocation of 5 units while most dealerships received 2 or less units allocated.
Maybe we can still drive one at the track experience. I hope some are making it to the track experience... C.
This dealer was allocated only 3 Challengers. Talked to him yesterday. Best to wait for the 6 speed model.
Any particular SRT usually shows up at the track event as soon as it is released for delivery....look for spring events to have em...
