from my understanding, I need a minimum of 6mm to get the rims im getting to clear the brembos in the front. That barely clears from my understanding, but it was suggested I don't go much bigger if any.
I had 6mm non-hub centric spacers on my wheels without any real problems. There are 2 issues. You may get wobble if you're not careful with mounting the wheels and tightening the lugs evenly. The other issue is the reduced stud length. All of the above made me a little uneasy with the idea of thrasing on the car, so I moved up to a 1/2" hubcentric spacer and longer lugs.
what he said ^^^^^^ btw adam, i take it you swapped out the spacers i sent??? good call!!! where did you find the hubcentric 1/2 spacers??? do they have the hubcentric ring for the wheel as well, or just hubcentric on the hub and the wheel still centers itself on the studs???
Chris, I did swap out your rear spacers for the 1/2" hubcentrics with longer studs. I got the spacers from here: http://www.wheeladapter.com/ It turns out they're just up in LA. I called and spoke to the owner about what I wanted. He said no problem and they shipped the same day. Perfect fit on the first try. Fred knows his stuff. The spacers also had the lip for the wheel. I got the second one down on this page: http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_spacers.php
I have a set of Challenger SRT wheels that I want to put on my Magnum R/T and was told that I'll need 3mm spacers! Only place I have heard that you can get them is Billet Technologies! Does this sound correct??? Thanks for any input!
I wouldn't say that they're the only people with the spacers. However they are the only supporting vendor with them.
