    yo fellas,

so as you all know i got my 2010 GC SRT a month ago yesterday...well today i wake up to go to work and i walk outside into my driveway and i see that someone tried to steel my rims!!! my car was on bricks and the rims were laying in the driveway OFF THE CAR!

my dad woke up around 3 and went outside for a smoke and must have scared them away. they left all their tools and equipment! sooooo i called the cops and they sent out a detective...the douche bags that did this didnt know that they left finger prints everywhere on the rims, car and the equipment. so im waiting to hear back from the police to see what they come up with...good news is that they have a few leads because this isnt the first time this happened in my area.

the idiots used a new jack...a Torin "Black Jack" 2 Ton and their fingerprints were all over it haha...assholes!!! so as of right now i put wheel locks on it and its going in monday to get a new alarm system put on...my guy said that if a bird takes a shit on my car it will set it off!!!

let you guys know what happens...cant believe this happened to me!

    Dominic

Damn!! Good luck finding them, probably some lowlife hoods running just under the radar. So did you get a free jack out of the deal?

    You lucked out... :worthy:

bwahahahaha at the IDIOTS for leaving all the evidence behind. lol Likely their prints are in the database and will be apprehended soon?

Word to the wise on your alarm. If you have the shock sensor too sensitive, it will always go off, thus causing false alarms. After a day or two, neighbors and yourself will pay no attention to it... Remember the "Boy who cried Wolf"? Yea, it will be like that.

You only need the shock sensor turned to a nice hard impact with the fist...

or... 2-stage impact sensor. Soft bump it just chirps 3 times -- go out and tell kids to take the nerf ball to the school. hard impact with the fist triggers the full alarm.
2-stage digital tilt sensor (digital so it calibrates when armed so you can park on a slope). raise a corner an inch or two and it chirps, full alarm before a tire gets off the ground.
2-stage peripheral sensor - get within 1 foot and it chirps 3 times. Get right up against the window or inside it for full alarm.
Glass break sensor (just because it doesn't cost hardly anything additional)
They all come with pins for the doors, hood, and trunk/hatch.
Auxiliary siren (120 db) with backup battery power installed INSIDE the car.
If you don't have 2 primary sirens then I'd install the first one inside the car as well. nobody but you does anything when they hear a siren anyway.
1 mile 2-way paging remote with display -- 900mhz spread spectrum (the lithium AAA batteries will last 2 or 3 months. alkaline AAA will last about 2 weeks).
Do it in zones so you have different arming options -- just zone 1 sensors, just zone 2 sensors.
2-stage arming means you can arm it with the first stage (warning) alert and full alert or just with the full alert only.

Then get a GPS unit for it. Not only all the location services but you can get your alerts and control the alarm system by phone, txt msg, or online.

They can still get it but you're probably going to know about it right when it happens.

Wow...this sucks to see, but at least it worked out well for you. I mean it could have been a lot worse, had your dad not needed a smoke.

Wow thats horrible, you sure it wasnt your jealous brother? LOL JK..I'd check the area where the jeep was sitting on blocks and the wheels real well may need some body work or wheels replaced. Wheel locks are nice, good deterrant but a real thief knows how to break them off but your still limiting the average neighborhood crack head/teenager from stealing them. Alarms have come a long way, buddy of mine has some fancy one that pages his key pad and calls his cell phone if his alarm goes into warning mode (not quiet yet full sirens/horns etc.) He has built in tiny hidden cameras that he can access with his IPhone to see what is going on and is trying to figure out a way to speak through his speakers if someone is near his car. He works for Houston PD and is their tech guy so he's all into this stuff, his indash CD players is also his video recorder.

Hopefully the cops will check around local stores and see who sells that type of jack and maybe narrow down who it is
