Went to DynoComp in Scottsdale today because I was afraid I was going to blow up my engine without getting a good A/F setting. Turns out I was running just a little rich throughout. Went down there to get some quick dial-ins. Richard is a nice guy who seems to know his stuff. The shop looks great and he said he would be more than happy to host a dyno day. He played with the Predator and made sure the fuel was dialed in and fixed some timing issues. I need to do some re-indexing on the cam (the dip you see before 3300 rpm), but all is cool for now. Keep in mind it was over 100 degrees and by the time the last run came along the engine was absolutely baking (I'm thinking add 20hp just for heat soak). The Dyno Dynamics also reads 20 hp lower than other dynos but is more accurate. He said I should account for 25% loss compared to the crank.
Not bad Bob. I really do suggest you get Steve or Mike do a CMR tune rather than you making adjustments. It is the best and safest way to tune your newly found power. IMO.
hehe I fully understand. And yea, we have been having a nice heat wave the past few days. lol Don't feel bad, our DA in the middle of the day is well over 10K feet. haha
