So im driving on the NJ Turnpike about 4 miles away from the GW bridge and I see the lights of a 350Z approaching fast, I knew it was a Z because I had one. Anyway he proceeds to change lanes and WOT it while next to me at about 80 mph which I do the same, end result he became a small dot in the rear view mirror quickly. So I slow down to about 70 mph and I can hear him WOT far behind me but I just stay at about 70-75 mph, now im gonna let him do a flyby and catch him, he must have passed me doing at least 130 to my 70-75, as soon as he passed me and put about 5-8 cars on me I WOT, in about 5 seconds he stopped pulling and at about 15 seconds after that I passed him like he was standing still I kid you not and again he became a dot in the mirror. So he proceeds to want more but now were coming up to the bridge and troopers etc hells no, but we bob and weave out of very light traffic, I finally slow down to see if he will open his window and to my surprise he does, I tell him I had one great car but I have just a tad more HP with what I have now, he said great runs was smiling big time and we went on out merry way. Very cool guy. Now im not posting this as a kill because please this was no contest, just some friendly runs. Before anyone starts bitching about highway racing there was NOONE around us last nite the TPKE was empty. Was alot of fun for once and my adrenaline was pumping, I dont know what the hell these hi flow catalytics have done but my 8 is running STRONG.
LOL. There you go starting trouble again, that guy was not looking for you, LOL. you know i cant say anything i would have done the same thing, LOL. Nice run
Right on Tony......no worries man, no "race bashing" here brother!!! We all would have done the same on an open road!!! And anyone who wouldn't, bought the wrong fuggin car!!! We all bought some version of our SRT's to do exactly that, let our nuts hang when the lanes open up. To that, I say good for you. And from one Mopar guy who was thinking of selling his sled to another Mopar guy who was thinking of selling his sled, I say I'm glad we stayed in the same family. Good story bro, thanks for sharing.......
Tony are you going to the track day on March 30th?? good story btw .. you left out the part when you started to blow to Z guy .. fag .. Stevo woulda liked to hear the details
Ron, you'll wanna ride in my LX all the way to the hotel room yourself, when you see my new interior........I'm just sayin.........
