Ever since I started coming to meets and being around other SRT owners. I always get asked about how I keep my wheels so clean. Well, I figured it was all the washing or something, right? Well, I was rearranging my garage today and had to flip my spare OEM wheel around to better store it for the short term. Before you ask, its a spare thanks to the dork who hit my car in February and didn't bother to leave a note but whacked the car hard enough that the insurance adjuster insisted on replacing the wheel, even though the wheel looks fine, just scratched. Anyway... So I flip it over and just about screamed when I saw this. So there you go, Charger SRT rims do actually accumulate tons of dust, they just hide it better.
Come on Tam.... don't tell us you only clean the outside part... once a year take em off an use a good quality wheel cleaner and hose them off... my car wash guys aget a few dollars more to also go clean them when the car is washed... opening is large enough to get their hand in there..
I always clean the inside when I clean the outside....also remove the wheels and wax inside and out at least once a year...did this with the 8 and still do with the 10......and Posi-Quiets help stop 80%+ of the dust...
tam - you had to have seen the brake dust inside the barrel!!! lol as much room as there is between the spokes, it is hard to miss!! lol
Tam, you know brake dust is for people who track their car (as seen with you & your helmet) And Ceramic Pads are for people who put their car in parking lot for Car Shows
