Spent the weekend racing the Camaro at Pinks All Out in Indy this weekend. They gave each car a "Class" based on expected E.T. Classes ranged from "A" to "J" with "J" being the quickest, for cars 8.50 or quicker. I was in class "J". My first race was on Saturday was against a C5 Corvette. It was....somewhat modified. LMAO. Here's the start: And the finish: Incidentally, he won the "Quick 8" contest, and was the quickest car of the 420 cars entered. His 60' time was 1.10 seconds. Mine was 1.22 seconds. My 2nd qualifying attempt was with Rich Christenson doing the armdrop. Here's the start: And the finish: That was my personal best pass, and I qualified 7th out of 420 entrants and made the "Quick 8" contest for the quickest 8 cars entered. I jumped the gun huge and lost in the first round......to a Camaro that ran 7.60 seconds at 185 mph. Great time. Special thanks to forum members vvv90, who came down from Chicago, and EricG and MikeCompT/A who came up from Cincinnati.
Thanks all! Hey rtr0id.... do you remember a couple years back when I was asking how hard it would be to go 10's? I was concerned for how quick that would be, and if I could handle it. Well...........it's been a long road baby!!!!
