I replaced both of my axles yesterday, and now I have a small shudder when taking off. I jacked up the car and checked everything, and as far as I can tell, its all installed properly. While it was up on jacks, I put it into gear, and I can see both shafts wobble a little. Are they supposed to do that, or should they spin straight on their axis?
Well, I just took my car over to Westside Automotive, and they told me that both of my two new axles have defective inner joints. The mechanic said that they had too much play, and that was causing the wobble. Looks like I need to exchange them.
