I noticed that a lot of folks have some cool siggy pics. GooberMT made me one but I cannot use it in it's original size which confuses me because I see others that are in their original size being used.

So the siggy pic is limited to 9.8kb, correct? If I resize it, I can get it down to that limit but it's so small that it's almost ineffective...ya can't read it!

So what is the secret? Do I need a special subscription to enlarge my siggy space limit? Is there something I can do with the .jpeg to make it appear the correct size without it exceeding the 9.8kb limit?

The original he sent me is 550X150 & 76.6 kb. I've sized it down to 275X75 & 8.78kb and it fits the siggy pic parameters set here but it's sooooo small!!!

    Help!!!

just right click the picture, then pick copy link location if using firefox.

if you are using Internet explorer, right click the picture, select properties. that should bring up another little box, then highlight the Address (url) and then right click it and select copy.

Click USER CP on up left hand corner of connection. Then select edit signature. There should be a box with sig stuff in it. erase all of that. Then paste the url of the sig pic. then at the beginning of the url type [IMG] then click save signature at the bottom, and it should be on there now.

I tried downloading it from photobucket, downsizing with irfanView, cutting and pasting from the pic properties and all I got was something on the order that it was either too big or it was an invalid file.

Such is the life of a forum noob... :wallbash:
