I worked for Delco Products in 1966 before I went in the Navy. On an assembly line building Pontiac and Buick backing plates with the whole brake assembly, wheel cylinders, shoes, all the hardware and stacking them on a pallet. The line I was on was fast, the rest of the guys had at least 8 years on the same line. I hated it. They deserved what they got paid. I think NAFTA had a huge impact on the automobile industry. As Ross Perot said, "Do you hear that big sucking sound? It's our jobs being sucked out of our country."
