Thanks to the efforts of Dr. Hemi31, I now have 2 replaced pistons. Yes we thought it was only one at first but once we pulled the head we found that #5 was munched pretty bad as well as the unknown #1. What can i say but this guy is nothing short of amazing. First wrench went on about 10:30ish and car was running and all warmed up with no leaks by 6:30pm.
pssssshhhhhhh....thats childs play for Erik!!...oh wait..he doesnt know anything i forgot...YOU GOT LUCKY! LOL!!!!
This was done to keep it safe and driveable until I can get it forged/stroked as it's my daily and only driver. You mean they aren't already in there?!
awesome news dave!!!! good thing erik knows dick about these cars....... i hear there is a young kid in georgia somewhere that is pretty good! lol
We're assuming that's what it was. Thanks Chris! I wished I had his phone number, I'm sure E could have made a few calls to him..
Dave,How many miles on your car??Was wondering what shot etc etc,?? Glad its running .Just trying to learn a little something..
wow .. did you get spray happy or something. Is this something I should expect next year .. my kits being installed in 2 weeks .. I have 50k on my clock and a 125 shot going in ... did you backfire?
Nope.. no backfire, nothing. Made the pass and when I got back in the box to do another I and a few other heard a knock for a bit and it went away. Did an N/A run and when I came back down the return it was sputtering and I then pulled the plugs. Should be fine, just keep a sharp eye on the A/F's. Oh, and will over 300 miles on it now it's running great. A little more and then it's WOT time!!
