Okay, so my passenger side dash vent popped out in Marc's lap on Madeline's first birthday last year. Well, here we are, just after her second birthday and I've discovered the mystery rattle that's been bugging me for a few weeks is the vent cover on top of the dash and above the old one that's come loose now. I got lucky last time in that a Super Bee owner had a vent cover to spare after he got his original replaced with a numbered one. I don't think I'll be so lucky this time around. So, anyway, the clips that keep the covers/vents in place are worn down to nubbins so that one good bump or jolt and they snap right off, like dry graham crackers. Just like with the previous vent that popped out. So do I need to have that corner checked for deeper issues that might be transferring all that stress/vibration up to my dash and affecting the weakest link, the little plasticky vent covers? It'd be nice if I could drive to my in-laws without my dash shooting plastic bits all over the place.
