Not the prettiest execution, but I wanted to see if making a sheet metal shield would help keep my IATs lower. It worked. I sealed the BWoody from engine heat in the compartment and below to avoid hot radiator air from contaminating the air charge. I also ditched the brake duct to allow a bigger gulp of air to make it to the filter. Discuss.
Dont look pretty but it works like you said and thats all that matters, nice work Patrick. I need to order my Bwoody CAI and get it ghost flamed along with my valve covers for some engine bling. I may be getting the MDS coil packs just because there red! And to improve spark etc ofcourse
Thanks, I'd like to see a plastic cover that isolates it from the engine compartment..........BWoody did you hear that!!!!
Looks great Patrick, What kind of results have you seen so far ? I have been Datalogging my vehicle here in Montana because they have only crappy 91 octane. I have noticed that with 30-45 degree mornings, Im still seeing IAT temps of 5-7 degrees higher than outside temps. On a 70 degree afternoon, I see even higher temps 10+, and this is cruising at 75-90 MPH(Gotta love the 75MPH limit) Excellent work
Echo........Bwoody did you hear that!!!..............count me in on this idea also. Nice work Patrick.
Patrick another thing to consider it going to an open bottom filter, I found one at Amsoil and its a dry filter which is an even bigger plus
