Listen smart asses... your friend and mine, sdcarguy (aka: John) has Ralph's stock cats, wrapped in plastic. He brought them south for me from vortech, as I had 4 wheels in my car! *And yes, I have about 5 witnesses at Vortech that saw him load them... John F and Chris helped me wrap them!
BACK ON TOPIC! I had to work later today, so I couldn't go to Ralphs for a professional windhsield nozzle paintjob, so, I half-assed it in my garage this evening. Simply took a scotch brite pad to rough the pieces, then painted away! Three coats of OEM touch up paint, and here you have it! With camera flash Without flash, but a work light pointed in the general direction
The color obviously matches, but there will likely be faint brush stroke marks (as this was not a spray application). In the evening light and artificial light, they look about 90% better than they did black... right now, that's a passing grade for your's truly! They definately blend into the hood alot better now. I'm content at this point.
i would have recommended just removing them and patching the hood. looks 10X better. who the hell needs washers in SD anyway?
No shit...the one day it "sprinkled" last year Jason drove the wifes Murano over to my house for dinner.
i must agree but i bet he already spent the rest of his mod money. jason, why the f are you in such a hurry. even little mods take time to do right. know get your ass over to the dealer and get some new ones.
I would have liked to have them completely removed, but that'd cost a nice chunk of change to get the holes filled and have the hood painted. That I did do. Bro, I'm originally from Buffalo, NY... I've driven in BLIZZARDS in a rwd 1986 Pontiac Grand Am with bald tires, snow as high as my knees (on the street)! I ain't afraid of no snow (or rain for that matter)!!! LOL. Ralph, really wasn't that I was in a hurry... just that I wanted to try and do something myself without anyone helping me. I'm always asking all of you for 'this and that, how does this work, etc'... plus, if I didn't try to do it myself, everyone would bust my balls on here that I was chicken shit. Hopefully, I'll get done with work at a normal time today and pull her out of the garage for a thorough inspection. If it's fucked up, I'll try removing the paint or going to the dealership for new nozzles... then I'll be calling you whining like a little bitch! LMAO!
Yes my friend. I've been busy with work, and you're working nights... not a good combo. I/we SHOULD be free Friday night or anytime Saturday. Sunday I work. I'll get in touch with Rick's wife to have her and "G" come out too... I'll have her bring Rick's Charger... LMAO!!!
There was actually a thread started about painting wiper nozzles by one of the staff? It sure looks good! wow
any reliable shops in the area that'll do a whole paint job, I dont htink have enough time to get it done in Detroit and then get it to Cali
GO FIGURE! Next he is going to paint his valve stem caps and license plate screws.................................................
