Yeah, when I do run errands around town, I often get a local patrol car off my rear quarter listening to my exhaust, just waiting for me to light it up or something. So I basically have to coast and drive like Miss Daisy, and this is since I've gone back to stock taillights. As much as I hate the front license plate and next to no tint in the front windows, its just easier than getting yelled at and having to pay the tickets and fix-it costs for the sake of my individual tastes.

Maybe we need to find some remote patch of desert or something where we can modify the cars to death and drive them how we want instead of behaving. At this point I'm tired of getting mocked by Prius owners and crappy little Hondas because I don't try to keep up with them on the freeway. They speed, nothing happens, I speed, its CHP in my rearview. Just makes me miss track days. At least on the track, the four-banger drivers wave thank you for PERMITTING them to pass in the straight-aways.

At the last car show I went to, the cops were just sitting around the corner from the entry/exit point waiting for cars. A buddy of mine got pulled over and the cop tried to write him up for mods to his WRX STi. Funny thing was that the car was completely stock. Yet, several Ferraris/Lamborghinis came in/out with incredibly loud exhaust and none were bothered. When we inquired as to why that was, the cop said that they were not trained to spot modifications to those cars (apparently they weren't trained to well to spot mods on regular cars either). I guess some people can get away with it.

I think you'll be just fine driving everything except that 92' Toyota.
